Thought the first season was very good. 2 episodes in to the 2nd season and its not quite as good. Still, it's better than that Graham Norton bollocks on BBC1, and the cleavage is very impressive all round, so I'll keep watching for the moment.

I like that they at least try to play it straight. I do think it's better to watch the show without adverts, as it then clocks in at a reasonable 45 minutes, and pacing seems less of an issue. And for a TV show it has perfectly adequate FX.

One of my few gripes is actually Hannah S-Club. Creatures are the least of anyone's worries when they've got to dodge flying splinters from her incredibly wooden acting.

I hope they expand on the creatures from the future aspect though.

Sounds like another "creature from the future" episode next week, which might be fun.

This week's was ok, though I figured out the plot twist without much trouble. Not sure why Cutter thought leaving the house at the end was a smart move though. Still, what's plot-logic in a show like this eh!

Just can't figure why they keep showing this huge facility where they hope to track Dinosaurs. Yet when one appears, they send 2 professors(?), some tiny blonde with a nice arse, a cross eyed annoying fuck, and the P.R lady. I assume the security guys they show us, spend their time drinking coffee and eating doughnuts?

Ah but those 4 have the specialist knowledge, see...

That poor girl from Steps(?) must have hoped she could do a Billie Piper with this <_<

Aye, they seem to have hardly any backup compared to the first series: they nearly always had an army of special-ops guys waiting in the wings.

I thought the last episode with the sabre toothed tiger was a bit poor, tbh. This second series seems to be going nowhere fast. It's just turned into a "monster of the week" show now.

This was just crap.

I especially like how he swam all the way from the middle of the canal with a gun, in the "Dark", in the tunnel too small for the "mini sub" and got their not even out of breathe

Man from Green Wing...if you didn't want that chappy recognised...WHY have him work inside the ark (when Conner saw him!)

Conner is the most annoying TV character ever.

Has it ever been explained why Stephen is so good with weapons?

Now?

^_^ Okay, you got me! But what I meant was: the end of the first series seemed to hint that the plot may have diverged slightly from the "monster of the week" angle as Cutter trys to find out how the past got changed, and why his love interest with the big boobies disappeared. Instead, she just pops up as a different character. A neat mind fuck, but a bit disappointing at the same time.

That was especially awful. I agree with Hexx, Conner is dire. He can't act to save his life. The woman fell off the side of the boat yet ended up bloody yards away! Any "emotional" scenes were laughable. They can't create tension when it's needed. Stephen swims god knows how far and surfaces from the water with his gun aimed and ready to fire.

Oh and the huge sign post letting us know Abby was going to karate kick one of the monsters in the face couldn't have been more obvious. It's just terrible when compared to what the U.S can put out. And this is prime time TV for us - shocking. Last time I tune in I'm afraid.

Sadly this is totally failing to live up to the promise of the end of the first series. It's the opposite of Torchwood in that respect (which has been excellent so far this year). My kids are still hooked though, mainly because they're all too young to be bothered about anything other than a monster of the week romp.

It's like saying Commando doesn't portray realistic military tactics.

Just enjoy it.

Yes but at least in Commando Arnie was a retired soldier. These guys are bloody teachers and geeks, yet kick Dinosaur arse every week. They know how to use a multitude of weapons, and the little dinky girl drop kicks creatures from the future like she was a real pro.

Nothing personal, but I wish people would stop comparing trash like Primeval to "US TV". Believe it or not, they [ut out far more trash than us, most of which we never even hear about, and we've been known to make the odd decent show. :(

Primeval is a good summary of ITV in general, a poor imitation of stuff from a competing channel. That said, I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the last one. :P
