It's working now, but for a couple of minutes it had an inbetween page, different to the one all morning but not the same as the one now.

Since I have more money than sense, and have just put in an expenses claim for £3k and (should) be getting a bonus in March I've pre-ordered. I put in an Argos order as well but am going to cancel that as their customer service has been bobbins, so I don't trust them to get it to me.

They got my Wii to me perfectly.

But I don't want to pre-order with them this early as they charge you when you order online which I can't do now. And still got the Wii + games on the Argos card so don't want to use that either.

No. That was 7 minutes I believe. I remember reading a story about it the next day.

So either:

1) Sony have done a marvelous job and Amazon and every other retailer are stocked to the gills with PS3's.

2) Nobody wants it.

3) It's about 2.5 times the price of the Wii and March is a stupid time to launch so it's selling a bit slower.

Or some combination of the three. Sorry, shouldn't be clogging up this thread with chat.

I just ordered one, but as I really need the money for other things (rent, food, etc.) I think I'll cancel before the end of March. My wife really wants one for downloadable SingStar (whenever that appears), though, so maybe I should get one. Hmm.

Indeed, everywhere online still seems to have pre-orders available (Amazon / Gameplay / Play / Game / ChoicesUK / Gamestation). Hopefully this'll mean there won't be any crazy eBay prices.

It also makes you wonder how the high street stores can justify the 50-100 quid they are asking as deposit to guarantee your order (presuming that the online stores do actually get the allocations they seem to expect)

The simple thrill of it. And not wanting to look like a crying mega gay waiting for the post-man to arrive.

Do you often look like a crying mega gay before the postman arrives then? If so do post pix.

There was also a new wedgeboard outside Game, saying that you will be guaranteed a unit at launch if you preorder :( Made me do a double-take.
