Virtual Console

If you could immediately add three new titles to the current Virtual Console line-up, what would they be?

For the sake of argument, assume that no new systems can be added (so NES, SNES, N64, MD & TG only) and also that no new features (such as online multiplayer) can be added either.

Me?

1) Super Mario Kart (SNES, 1992)

2) Axelay (SNES, 1993)

3) Doom 64 (N64, 1997)

Not my 'all-time greatest' game picks by any stretch, but three that I'd love to see added tomorrow.

Doom 64? Blimey, that is an odd choice.

I know, it's actually the one that prompted this thread. That of all the titles out there, that was one that I'd really love to take for a drive again. I've just got excellent (rose-tinted no doubt) memories of it.

1) Paper Mario (N64)

I absolutely adore the sequel, but I never got the chance to play this. I want this to be released more than anything else!

2) Quackshot (MD)

One of the very best 16-bit platformers for sure, I'd love to be able to load this up from the Wii Menu every now and then :)

3) Chrono Trigger (SNES)

Another game I've never played, but I've always wanted to. I just can't relax enough when I'm sitting at my PC to play RPGs, and the SNES emulators for the PSP still leave a lot to be desired.

I would love to see this too... but am I right in assuming we never will in the UK because it wasn't released here?

The only version of Doom I've ever enjoyed is the PC original, but it has to be on a 386, in low detail, with the window shrunk to the size of a postage stamp.

Actually, I'm lying on two counts there, because I had great fun with the severely cut down 32X version when I was at college. Maybe Doom 64's not such a bad idea.

Sin and Punishment

Excitebike 64 (with a better framerate, hopefully)

Can't decide about a third one. Any of the N64 games from the list below I love enough, or I'm curious enough to play that I'd buy on VC:

Paper Mario, Star Fox 64, Blast Corps, Wave Race 64, 1080 Snowboarding, Beetle Adventure Racing, Star Fox 64, International Superstar Soccer '98, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Pilotwings 64, F-Zero X, Tetrisphere, Space Station Silicon Valley, The New Tetris, Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Jet Force Gemini, Wetrix, Pokemon Snap, Body Harvest, Lode Runner 3-D, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon, Snowboard Kids, Mischief Makers, Yoshi's Story, Bangaio.

Is that cheating?
