It’s been pretty stressful, I think I’ve been on To Qualify for one team or another for every game that’s gone to penalties, and I had 500 quid on Belgium to beat Japan. I was driving through Stoke literally screaming when the winner went in.

I only bet small amounts for a little added drama, rather than anything large. This World Cup, I've turned about £14 into £25 - that's fine by me.

 

Today, I had 50p each on Griezmann, Mbappe and Mandzukic to score, netting me just over a fiver in return. Had I instead opted for a £1.50 accumulator, it'd have been over sixty.
