I know him, or at least, I used to know him. I used to play for Acton-Ealing Whistlers which was financed by his mum and aunt: Tessa & Rosemary. He used to pop round for training sessions and present the awards at the end of a season, it was great. He was one of my idols when I was a kid.

Been rubbish today. Lost £30 on the horses (that'll teach me to gamble on stuff I know nothing about) and then later in the cricket I managed to finally work out how to lay against yourself to ensure you come out at least even, got excited at the interval and punted a tenner on Pakistan to win which they promptly didn't. Learnt stuff though which is good. Back to the football tomorrow I think.

I know the feeling, I stay away from Sports I don't know much about. Actually, I only bet on the Football and Boxing because I'm confident of my knowledge of the two sports. I had a bit of a fling with betting on the Golf for a bit, but was relying on information from people that had knowledge of the sport. I've been stung by the horses enough to know to stay away from them bar special occasions.

The great thing is, I haven't spent any money yet because I won £30 from a £5 free bet on the first race.

I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest though, I've just been looking for tips and watching what other poeple who know what the're doing are betting on.

My bet on Kauto Star was a double though, so no winnings from that yet. I need Ouninpohja to win in the last race of the day.

Anyone got any tips for Cheltenham?

I usually only bet on the footy, know nothing about horse racing. But paddypower have gave me a free bet £10 on the horses, something to do with their site being down while Cheltenham has been on.

little double today turned up trumps - Spurs to win and wigan/fulham to draw ... not mentioning the 3 accumalators which failed on single games :)

Accumalator for tomorrow

Liverpool to win

Everton to win

Charlton to win

Birmingham to win

Celtic to win

Blimey, bet a double on Bangladesh and Ireland to win in the cricket would have been massive odds. Both looking good at the moment.
