Oh man I'm so tempted to break my no gaming purchases rule for the year to buy this on 3ds!

Is there a good android version slitherlink?

The controls on the DS version are so good tho, and really quick once you get the hang of it.

I've been thinking about picking up Nikoli's puzzle books to get my fix.

Get down a WHSmith and buy 'Beyond Sudoku' by Puzzler. You'll feel like your grandma, but it's bloody brilliant. I was thinking about making a thread about it actually...

You can get a slitherlink game on the iPhone by Conceptis Puzzles.  Free to download.

Gonna give that a try, cheers!

I loved slitherlink on the DS, rinsed that game thoroughly.

Bumping a 7 year old thread to say how much I'm loving this game at the moment. Saw an import copy for a tenner and realised I had lost my old game. It's effectively brand new as I can't remember anything about the solutions, obviously.

Complete a couple every day on my commute and just hit the 70 puzzle mark on the second difficult.

Just brilliant, brilliant stuff.

Thanks for the bump.

Slitherlink doesn't really work that well using fingertip touch in my opinion. Slitherlink requires a lot of tapping and the speed and precision of the DS makes that very satisfying. It feels more like a chore on an iPhone. Yes, the puzzle itself is essentially the same but the tactile rewards are missing.

Wtf honeycomb puzzles.

At least they're symmetrical! The cairo and kite type make my eyes go funny. Not played it for a while, I got stuck on a grid once and gave up but refused to skip to another. Was going to post it for advice but I've lost all progress it seems. Also looks like the infinite version is free on Underground, if you want that.

I really agree with this. I have the noctis version for my iPhone and it's probably as good as you can make it. But it just becomes fiddly.

DS button controls >  Paper and Pencil. > Stylus Controls >> Touch Screen

Rise from your grave!

Through our Rllmuk Discord, Blu3Flame mentioned how he was missing this game. I'd never heard of it! Sounds awesome, since I've spent hours of this sort of puzzle games. Spotted one on ebay for £13 delivered, grabbed it. I'll write more when it arrives.

The Nintendo DS very much delivers, this many years on.

It's amazing. Like Lemmings, the DS is the perfect platform for it.

It arrived yesterday, menu tips from Blu3 have been:

give me 20 mins

I'll sort something out for you

first screen is : touch any shit to continue

then it's select a profile, you get a choice of two

when you're in a profile and there's three buttons down the right hand side

and a single one at the bottom on the left

the three down the right are :Start | Tutorial | Edit Profile

In Edit Profile there are two options

Edit Name and Erase Data

When you hit Erase Data, Yes is on the left and No is on the right

When you're playing a game, the three buttons on the bottom are Hint | Check | Options

and the options are just stuff like background music and what not

I've no idea how the person playing this save before me is doing these under 2mins, but I'm slowly managing to solve them. Main problem is I usually end up connecting a line to most but then connecting it all together at the end becomes the 'argh' moment.
