On my main char, my lvl 70 shaman I have about 48 days /played. I've also got a lvl 41 priest with 4 days /played (this used to be a bank character so I was on 2 days /played before I dinged lvl 5). In total I've got around 70 days /played spread over all my characters.

I'm not going to admit to what mine is.

Partly because I don't know without logging in to check, and generally I avoid typing it as it's too depressing. It's over 100 days on my main though but I don't really have any alts other than bank characters...other than my 42 mage, who is on 3 days.

It might even be 120 days on Cowfields. My excuse though is that I spend a lot of time online but afk which adds to it. If I'm going to have dinner but know I'll be back after or something like that, then I'll simply leave it logged in. Partly because then you don't miss guild chat and people can still get in touch if they need to.

When I last checked I had 106 days /played on Kay - I'd estimate it's closer to 110 now.

Then there's my lvl 61 mage who must have between 15-20, she dinged at 10 days and I played her a lot after that until TBC.

So..

Lvl 70 - 110

Lvl 61 - 15

Plus a few lowbie alts.

But in my defence, I stay logged in when I go AFK to eat, or have a shower. I stay in Shattrath to chat all night whilst playing FFXII... I leave it on whilst I go to Sainsbury's, even though I know it'll AFK me out etc ;)

*takes the 5th*

After numerous failed midteens attempts to get a second character going, I finally made an alternative to Ellie, chiefly for the unashamed reason of providing her bigger sister with another four grand in quest cash and all the ore she can prospect and herbs she can smoke. For some mystifying, unfathomable reason though, Clothfields and Craiwinn seemed to find the class I finally settled on amusing. Can't imagine why...

*cough*

Anyway, if you see a foxy Blood Elf with amazing 70s disco diva hair running around the Draenor Ghostlands, be sure to wave and shower her with money, precious, precious money.

In the meantime, I've created a handsome chap by the name of Baltheer (guess the reference, folks!). A dashing young fellow with an eye for beauty, he thinks of himself as a 'leading man' you could say, proudly slicing opponents down with his sealed sword, Blessing himself with Mighty power to vanquish the evil foes of Eversong Woods. Mmmrrrrggglll!

We're allied with the tauren? FANTASTIC! We'll be having steak two times a week!

An actual, serious alt? Wow. I'm guessing either druid or mage. If you can't beat us...

Will check my /played later and *might* post it. It's not going to be pretty.

No it's a warlock. I find it amusing, but it makes perfect sense.

You can debate till the taurens come home about what makes the best farming alt class but let's face it, it's pretty much any class if specced and geared appropriately. So, why not go with the class you already know inside out? So I think it's a sensible choice. To an extent anyway, the reason i'm enjoying my mage so much is because a rogue / warrior / priest etc might jsut feel not different enough from cowfields but the AOE thing keeps levelling the alt rather new and fresh, because it's so far from a druid.

Shit. I just did /played on cowfields. It's 146 days, 17 hours, 15 minutes and 11 seconds.

I can see where Chanti is coming from, I guess. When I rolled on Ravenholdt, I rolled another mage. I think I was kinda driven by a desire to play deep frost again whilst in the middle of a 'thou shalt spec fire for Naxxramas' decree in Chimaera.

Didn't work though - got stuck at level 26 then kicked out of Muk after a few weeks of inactivity. Kicked out of Muk! What a shocker - they'll take anyone!

Pfft, like I'd touch those damn dirty arcanists with a kodo prod.

I try other classes and just don't find them captivating enough. Priests, rogues, paladins, warriors - too dull. Druids - too ugly. Shamans, hunters - hmmm, maybe but the mere thought of the Den of Trials makes my eyes bleed and I find the idea of Blood Elf hunters plain damn odd in all honesty. So yeah, this way I get to play around with a Felguard (eventually) without inflicting the stigma of said beast on my beloved main.

One thing I've noticed - Blood Elf Shadow Bolts have a faster travel time. Blue plx reply, I call shenanigans!

I levelled my shaman to 60, eventually. I considered actual real-life suicide on several occasions along the way; it was that boring, and took me over a year. Seems to be OK-ish at 70 though - we have a supremely well-geared Elemental shaman in Chimaera who does fantastic damage.

I'm quite surprised you disliked the rogue class. I really took to the satisfying crunchiness of cheap shot etc, and the whole stealth thing was quite fun. Made for decent PvP, even though I was generally undergeared in the last few months before TBC. Nuisance value shouldn't be underrated.

Farming classes eh?

Best farmer I've ever had is my Warlock+Felguard - it's quite possible to kill relentlessly by simply unleashing the pet, throwing a couple of DOTs, Life Tapping and then Draining Life - pretty much no need to even catch breath between fights and the Felguard is such a good offensive pet that it's hard to see why people shun it.

Rogues are decent farmers - so long as you're not Muti spec and your targets are immune to poisons and stuns *coughs* Elementals for motes *coughs*

Hunters farm well too ofc. - tho they're simply not as relentless (in comparable kit) as Warlock/Felguards (my 60 'bought Blues' Warlock did comparable DPS to my 60 Tier 2 wearing Hunter!!).

Fuck, it had to have been months.

Admin + Muk = NEVER! (hardly)

Forget that, it was probably done by accident. I think I kicked a level 2 from the guild once, because they hadn't been on in 4 months and there was no indication of who the hell it was, and that was over 6 months ago.

My played on my old main is around 80 dyas (which isn't bad seeing I managed to kill C'thun and some Naxx bosses).

My 33 loladin just hit 2 days played, which isn't bad really.

I was right. It's not pretty.

~147 days on Gramme

~ 27 days on my 64 rogue

~ 16 days on my 60 shaman

~ 5 days on various lowbies/banks

Ouch. That's spectacularly tragic. In my 'defence', I do go AFK for long stretches at a time.

In fairness, you don't even need felguard to farm like that. I manage to throw siphon life, corruption and curse of agony up, life tap, then drain life till near death and then drain soul and I end up with pretty much the same hp/mana I had before I started. Makes grinding more bearable when you don't need to carry 8 stacks of food and water.

As for played time, I think my main has around 60? or so my old main has 50 and my others are 12-ish for my mage and priest and 5-ish for all my level 40 alts. I'll check later.

Jaizha: 67 days, level 60-and-a-half.

Mel: ~10 days, level 52-and-a-bit.

plus one warrior, level 50, around 11 days /played.

also plus one priest, level 45, very likely 10 days /played or so (didn't check this one).

At least you most of you guys with long play times have spent it doing some hardcore raiding. I think I've spent 20 days making fat jokes at Zurg's expense. Without looking (because the shames too much) I guess I've spent 60 days online since January last year, although like others I do tend to stay logged in no matter what and I haven't touched another game since I started.

Without MUK I think I would have given up or at least curtailed the amount of time played. Damn you! Damn you all to Hell!
