one last tune to do on hard guitar and u all know which one it is

Discovered the joys of Welcome Home on Hard guitar last night. Bloody loved it.

My drummer friend and I were going through the Hall of Fame Induction on Hard and came to the brick wall that is Run To The Hills on drums. It's ridiculous.

And I'm stuck on GGaHT on Expert. I will never get past it. Ever.

I think the hardest thing about GGaHT on Expert guitar is the length of time it takes to get the second solo - it's heartbreaking to keep fucking it up around the 90% mark (like I did, over and over again). Also, because it's got so many long sections with loads of fast notes, it's very sensitive to how you've calibrated the guitar. If you've not accurately compensated for lag it'll really show up on this song - I recommend using practice mode on one of the really fast sections and then keep tweaking your calibration until you get it spot on, it makes a huge difference.

Stupid fucking Green Grass song! I'm playing Medium drums and everything has been fine until this song, always fail it at 62% percent. It just gets alot harder than anything before, too much of a jump! :lol:

THe part where you have RY - Y Pedal - RY - Y Pedal, and so on. It's too fast for me and is definitely more complex than anything else so far on the Medium tour but it's just too hard a jump. I hate when this happens.

Just concentrate on getting there in a healthy position. And you should be able to ignore the bass pedal and get through with just hitting the pad sections. Its easier on Hard drums BTW

Arghh this is infuriating, I'm failing at 60% now! Can't do it for some reason.

I tried leaving the bass pedal but my left hand keeps lagging behind for the reds and I can't get it done in time, It's really annoying me now as I'm pretty much 100% on notes hit up until that point.

Get into practice mode for a bit, select the section you're stuck on and slow it down. Once you're comfortable playing it at a certain speed, increase it a notch or two. Wash, rinse, repeat...

If you get bored of that, start playing through the Hard tour, then go back to it when you hit 'the wall' at that level. Seriously, it's amazing how much you can improve at this without even realising it.

This song is just fucking stupid. Why put it in here, it's such a step up difficulty wise from the other songs in that setlist. I passed them all first time without blinking. I tried doing just bass pedal and yellow there throughout that and it worked until 89% when more variation came and I couldn't keep up. It's so long though, Why put this in here.

It just annoys me.

I can't do it, drums are going away now. Bring out the guitar instead.

Nope I'm quitting! Playing Guitar on Hard and actually enjoying it as I can 5 star these songs first try. I don;t even know how to use overdrive, it always does it itself when I finish a solo thing, so don't know how to use it when you want like tilting the guitar!?

When you get the drum fills, if you hit the final green cymbal it activates the overdrive. If you don't hit the final green cymbal, it doesn't.

No. You don't have to play anything in those sections at all, and the green note at the end will only become active if you play 3 or 4 hits during the fill. Either way, not hitting it won't penalise you.

Currently stuck on Highway Star, (always fail the 1st solo around 70ish%), although I had a quick look at Run to the Hills, thinking it would be the one to beat in this tier, and 4* it first go.

QoTSA's 3s & 7s is also proving troublesome.

Hehe, so my anger with the drums is over for now, I put them on again to go through all the songs I've done already and 5 star them. I do love the drums so much, its great fun, I'm just annoyed at GGaHT. Apparently it's back to the same kinda thing again after that song too, nothing more anywhere near as hard as that on the Medium tour?
