The Bonus tour unlocks more songs as you go through it, like the main tour, albeit one song at a time (there are actually 12 bonus songs). The downloaded songs are the free European tracks.

The pre-downloaded songs are European exclusives I think. Stuff that Harmonix put in to sort of compensate for the delay, IIRC.

You've got a point about the bonus songs though, I've only got one or two in mine and I can't find where to buy more as in GH. How do I get more?

I think what might be happening is that it's counting the bonus and downloaded content that's not considered part of the solo tour....

And the bonus starts off with 1 song but you unlock a new one each time you complete one, and the bonus uk songs are counted as downloaded content, muse, oasis etc. Out of interest, is there any way of deleting the foreign songs on the uk version? They're all a bit pants and would be rubbish to get them while singing on band world tour.

Some songs were added to the European version in the DLC section.

Right, I'm at something of a crossroads. The Rock Band guitar is hacking me off, I don't know if it's fucked or if the batteries need replacing or what but I was playing like a spanner tonight, and it wasn't all my fault. I've defended it in the past but I'm beginning to think the GH Explorer would be nice to play with.

But half of the joy is trying to sing something you patently can't do! I have an unfair advantage with the French tracks, but I still enjoy trying (and failing) to sing along coherently to Die Toten Hosen and Juli, comedy German accent at the ready. It's even funnier (for me) when other people try to sing along with the French ones (the only amusement I've got from Pleymo has been my friend 'singing' the entire song in gibberish).

Discovered the joys of Welcome Home on Hard guitar last night. Bloody loved it.

By far my favourite song in the game to play on Guitar. I'm a huge Coheed fan so being able to 'play' it is grin inducing. the solo. This game needs more Coheed. Preferably not covers though.

Aye, I had two of those french tracks pop up when I was doing the band world tour playing mic and guitar and once you actually sort out of the rhythm of the song, you can actually do quite well just scatting along with it.

I absolutely love Hier Kommt Alex though and can actually sing that in German so I would LOVE for them to add some Rammstein!

They should just stick in all of 'Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV'. Or at least the 4 parts to 'The Willing Well' (simply cos it came up on shuffle the other day and I was drumming along to it in my head).

Bass is a little bit of a let down, I enjoyed the drums though personally. Drums on Ten Speed (Of Gods Blood and Burial) I found a lot better, mind. The drummer they have is shit hot though, saw them in Copenhagen earlier in the year and when they ended with The Final Cut they were all just jamming along for a good 20 minutes improvising, finishing with the drummer just playing for a good 10 minutes by himself. Really impressive to watch.

I love Welcome Home, but I've not really found anything else of theirs I like yet (since I seem to be out of step with music tastes in this thread today). I'd never listened to them before now but they were one of those bands I thought I should get around to, so was pleasantly surprised with Welcome Home's 70's epic Rock stylings. Almost everything else of theirs just seems to sound a bit emo to me though, even songs which people go "if you like Welcome Home, X is even better". And reading through the stuff about the story running through all of their albums I can't help but think what a load of pretentious wank.

I don't get the whole 'emo' thing with Coheed. They seem so far from emo to me.

The story is amazing, too!

Here's the story of Everything Evil (and ever so slightly some of Devil In Jersey City).

If you listen to the beginning of the song, you can hear someone walking across a wooden porch, opening the door, and closing it behind them. This would be Josephine entering the Kilgannon home.

When she enters the house, she runs and throws up in the kitchen sink (after all, she just got raped, so she’s probably not doing so well). Her mother, Cambria, comes in and the two hug. Now Coheed (also not doing so well since he just killed his youngest children) enters, beckons for Josephine, and, when she approaches him, hits her on the head with a hammer. Now, Josephine’s fiancee, Patrick, follows Josephine in and witnesses this, and immediately retaliates back to his car and drives away. (Patrick and Josephine are the people in Devil In Jersey City).

Now, the Red Army (I realize that, by now, if you don’t know a thing about the story, you will be quite befuddled) invades the Kilgannon residence, and Mayo, the leader, tells Coheed that he has not completed his work since Claudio is not home (he’s been fooling around with his girlfriend, Newo, and quite lost track of time since he was supposed to be home be 2 a.m. and it is now past that time). Coheed asks what Mayo will do to Claud, and Mayo tells him to ask Cambria, who pretty much figures out Mayo’s entire plot, and she and Coheed wig out and kill a few soldiers before they’re shot by tranquilizers and hauled off.

Some members of the Red Army stay behind to drench the house in gasoline, and it is now that an Onstantine Priest enters the house and kills them before they can light the house on fire.

Claudio comes home, much too late, and finds Josephine’s body on the kitchen floor in a pool of her own blood. As he kneels beside her, his Crowing powers or whatever bring her back to life momentarily, and she explains her being raped, but not her death since she doesn’t really know she’s dead. Then, she tells Claudio to run and he sees the reflection of the Priest in her eyes, and she dies again (saying “Claudio… dear Claudio… you’ll make it if you believe). Claudio fights the Priest, then discovers he can walk through walls and can become invisible and gets the hell out of there.

Amazing, no?

They need to release The Suffering on Rock Band so people can hear the events leading to those in Welcome Home. It'd be a fun song to play, too!

My biggest problem, is that I don't really wanna buy a whole new set of Drums etc for GH:WT but if those Ion ones work for both games I may sell my current drums and get those. Although the new RB drums do have a symbol extension port, so if those are a lot less exensive that the Ion ones and also work with GH:WT I may get those. It's so anoying having two great games with different intruments that are not compatible.
