Still nothing. Nothing in quests. Nothing in Notes. Nothing on the map.

I feel conned. I have restarted the game twice and reloaded older saves and still nothing.

World map. Follow the line to the marker added to your map. Fairly central position.

Well, it's done and dusted and to be honest I'm relieved. I think it almost outstayed it's welcome, but that's more to do with me playing the living fuck out of it than anything else. I have no desire to go back and find all the vaults and little things and the remaining 16 bobbleheads, I'm just glad it's over. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, I just feel exhausted from playing it.

I just finished it tonight and while the last couple of hours are quite exciting, my original feelings haven't changed much. It has a bit of a split personality (shooter/RPG) and doesn't do either particularly well, in my opinion. I'm glad I played it, and it was a good experience, but that's about it.

I never really felt any attachment or investment in my character. While I paid attention to stats and perks at the beginning, as I leveled up, I stopped caring as much and just relied on the natural stats of the cool weapons/armour that I'd crafted or collected. Especially towards the end, provided you've got good stats in a certain weapon type, you've been trained in a certain armour type, you can twink and buff yourself stupid and just plough on through.

So as an RPG, I didn't really feel that the stats mattered, and as a shooter, I just thought it was pretty average. I still wish they'd done the whole thing in VATS (or had the option to play that way) and made it a proper RPG.

Just looked at the wiki map and where it says it is does not exist on my map. Maybe it is because I completed the game or something? I took the level 20 perk explorer so everything location is on my map.

Just no bailey's crossing :)

I know it sucks but trying starting a new game and getting outside.

or walking to the area where baileys crossing should be.

There should be a thing in the options to speed up character movement in combat. It'll still be turn-based but it'll at least be over quicker in between your actions.

Fallout 2 particularly has a terrible, horrific opening section. The Temple of Trials is a crime against game design and almost turned me off the game for good there. Persevere though. And really, really don't install the Restoration mod for Fallout 2, no matter how tempting it is. It ruins the game with unneeded clutter and obstacles in the way of fun (like arbitrarily raising the lockpick requirements of stuff in the first town you come across to unreasonably high levels, to give but one example).

Also, in random encounters in the Wasteland, don't be afraid to just run the fuck away until you're more capable.

Switched it back on, loaded it up, got the downloading extra content and went into the world. Nothing.

Walked around. Nothing.

Jumped to Vault 101 and got the message! Weird!

Not really weird, it's deliberate I think, so more annoying than anything! You only pick up the signal in that rough area (Vault 101, Megton, the centre left of the map, basically)

So I borrowed this from a friend and.... wow. I've never played a game as drab and lifeless as this before. Wow, this makes Gears of War look colorful. It's not terrible, but the gameplay doesn't exactly make up for it's lifelessness. Also the mole rats scare the shit out of me, so screw this game. :)

It's like there's been a nuclear holocaust or some shit.

Who said that they needed to make a game based on a nuclear holocaust? I know it's a sequel, but a lot of old Fallout fans are pissed at the new direction anyway, they might as well of made a new game. Too many games these days have you going through wars and post apocolyptic environments, it just isn't my thing. It's not a bad game, but I just can't stand the amount of games these days that are purely grim and lifeless.

Really LTTP on this one. Only just started playing it seriously today and I do like the combat and RPS elements but am already sick of the mindlessly slow walking I have to do. I am sure it will grow on me but about 10 mins into the game I glitched into a pile of boxes and had to reload.
