I started this last xmas and didnt get very far.

Really want to restart it now. I definately want to do the download content - so am i better off buying the game of the year version and starting a fresh or using MS points and buying all of the expansions? (How many expansions were there in total in the end?)

just started playing this on the pc, loving it so far, just gone from the first town with the bomb at the centre, to the folks on the bridge.

Loving it so far, is it as good as I think its going to be ?

hell yeah. you just wait for the moment that you 'get it'.

best moment in gaming in years imo.

this coming from someone who HATED the first 15 hours or so and now has something like 60 hours sunk in without even blinking.

:D

I've been so, so ill over Christmas (unable to sleep because throat closes up every half hour or so, causing suffocation), but at least I've been able to play some more of this (all night on Boxing Day).

I'm nearly at level 20, and the only active quests available to me are the 30 Nuka Cola Quantum and Main Quests. I can't do the former, and I want to hold off doing the latter. I've barely explored the top left and bottom right corners of the map. Has anyone got any quests in particular to recommend, or should I just start rambling? The only trouble with rambling being that I often clear out a place, then later get a mission to go to that place, and - well you know the rest...

5 in total.

Operation: Anchorage

The Pitt

Broken Steel

Point Lookout

Mothership Zeta

Are you on 360? All expansions are 400 points at the minute, so that equates to £17 in total.

davros - i have the nasty throat thing.....you taking anything for it ? its fucking rubbish isnt it.

Oh man, it really is. Inability to swallow, blocked nose, then the aforementioned "No air for you matey!" trick at night. I've been coughing up phlegm from deep in my chest, like my poor mate who had Cystic Fibrosis had to be induced to do every day. Should go to the Doctors really.

I've tried Meltus, various throat sprays, gargling soluble aspirin, Stimpacks, everything...

Awesome - are all the expansions worth getting?

The quality is variable, but you'll still get some fun out of them.

The must have is Broken Steel, purely because it raises the level cap, adds new enemies, and extends the game beyond the original ending with more story missions. Although I don't think it's story missions are as interesting as some of the other DLCs.

I would put the DLC in this order: Point Lookout > The Pitt > Broken Steel > Operation Anchorage > Mothership Zeta.

Of course, opinions vary. :D

What is the level cap by the way?

Please don't say 20...

fraid so. thats whay its good to get the broken steel dlc as it raises the cap to 30.

you can get the ldc and it does it automatically for you as you cant play the broken steel dlc until you finish the main quest.

DLC packs are still 400 credits if you're quick. Broken Steel raises the cap to 30. Then in order of goodness (according to consensus...not played any yet): Point Lookout, (Broken Steel), The Pitt, Operation Anchorage, Mothership Zeta.

i have absolutely no idea if turning the satellite on was a good idea, but as it wasnt a current quest, i didnt get any xp for it. should i have?
