SPOILERS ! some of us have only just started this you know ;)

Loving the atmosphere of this game....just heading off to find my father in dc and cant figure out how to get to the GNR building. I assume that gnr is galaxy radio ?

I've just got past that bit myself. I ended up taking in quite a few sights in DC before I realised I should just follow the marker on my local map...

I'm having a strange experience with this game. On the one hand I can't stop playing the thing, but conversely I don't know what's keeping me playing it. Not a great deal seems to have happened apart from me wandering through buildings shooting stuff and I'm over 20 hours in and at level 12.

Maybe I'm just getting too easily distracted? I only have two quests open -

going back to Three Dog after fixing the satellite and going to Rivet City

I was the same. In fact, I'm still that way. I can't stop playing it, but all I actually do is wander the wasteland. I can do it for hours, just walking to and fro across the map and back again.

It's oddly compelling considering large chunks of it are so fucking dull.

Just a shame the environment looks so horribly one-dimensional. Maybe in the next, next gen, we'll get the visual equivalent of The Road.

Maybe I can get a bit sappy and imprint The Road onto it. Maybe I'm just gay for desolate post-apocalyptic scenarios. But I'm now past 80 hours and still haven't visited

Tranquility Lane

Doesn't seem like anyone has mentioned that today on the 360 countdown to the new year Fallout 3 stuff is 50% off, every expansion is 400 points.

Just got Point Lookout and Zeta :)

Is this still available? I was wondering where would be the cheapest place to pick up all the DLC.

Some variation in the weather would have helped.

I've got to say, the idea of a radioactive acid rain forcing you to take shelter would make those explorative wanders a lot more interesting. Pegging stormclouds on the horizon and hunting for a place to lay low for a few hours would be ace.

if you're lazy like me gamestation are doing the two dlc discs for £20

How's going all the way to Gamestation being lazy?!

And £20 seems a bit steep. I've already got Fallout, so I oy need the DLC and 400 points sounded like a bargain. £20 doesn't.

Does anyone know if it's still available then? Or if it's gone up in price, how much it is now?

800 points per dlc. the offer was 400 per dlc

Ah right, I thought it was 400 for the lot! I thought it sounded like a good deal. I may well do the Gamestation offer then if that's the best around.

really?

:)

88 hours, 41 minutes apparently. I did the same with Oblivion and Morrowind, just not to this extent. Just walked the map over and over, refusing to take the fast travel route.

Tranquility Lane is my latest quest, and I've finished Operation Anchorage and Moira's quest line...I've done alot, just not been bothered about the story. To be fair, it's been one of the most memorable and glorious gaming experiences I've ever had.

What's with the hard-as-nails

mutant overlord guarding the comms dish inside the science museum

?! I can sneak up behind most mutants and take them out with one hit, but this guy took several sniper shots to the face, walked over half a dozen mines and took 6 missiles before he cacked it. Tense times indeed! Plus his lazer rifle is deadly!

Are some NPCs better at repairing equpiment than others? I need my gauss gun and stealth armour repaired, but so far can't find anyone to repair them past 51%? I assume I can't repair them myself as they're one-off items?

Is it the Chinese Stealth Armour? Use Brother recon armour to repair it. The Gauss gun can only be repaired using Alien epoxy from Mothership Zeta.
