I think I owe spork one of Pete Brant’s bollocks. Sounds fair to me.

Sander Berge was at Carrington earlier today too apparently.

£20 million midfielder from Genk.

Strangely enough, I watched him play for Genk at the weekend. It was like watching an oil tanker patrol around.

We've actually gone and done it  took long enough. Still need a striker though.

Maybe he had an off game or something, but he was miles off the pace and it stood out like a sore thumb. Got utterly dominated by some lad who couldn't get a game with Norwich in the Championship a few years ago.

Right, we’ve got two days to get a striker in now. I’m sure Woodward is busy working away on it and it’ll be announced tomorrow. I’ve got total faith.

This should have been sorted weeks ago so we could get a forward in to cover Rashford (if Martial gets injured now we have no-one to play up there except for an admittedly talented 18-year-old kid) and try to sign a defensive midfielder too. Fernandes is a terrific player from what I've seen, but he's not going to fix our problems on his own. In fact the level of expectation on him now could be a problem.

THe benefit to getting him now is he has the rest of this season to adapt to the league.

Predictions for tonight then, city to get an early one than pass the ball round for 85 mins!

If we had McTominay, Pogba, Fernandes and Rashford we would be winning this game.

I don't blame Matic so much as whoever lost the ball in front of him.

Remember, we still only need one goal to take it to penalties. There's no away goals rule or extra time.

All well and good for the commentators saying he should've been subbed off... but for who, exactly? Not a single central midfielder on the bench.

Odd to think that, given how long he completely frozen out, I'm now wondering how we'll cope against Wolves without Matic!
