Aye. It's as bad as the horror year of 1999, so far. Fucking hell :)

Oh wait, that was the year we won the European Cup, FA Cup and the league.

and? what's the 1999 team got to do with today's?

besides, this has been our worst start in 15 years apparently.

season. over.

anyone care to tell me i'm over-reacting this time?

Ok: you're overreacting and behaving like a spoilt child who's clueless about football. That kind of talk is what makes others hate United fans. We're three games in. Saying our season is over makes you (and by extension us) look somewhat special needs. Get a grip.

Anyhow, that was fucking bollocks. At this rate we'll be the first team to 100 shots without a victory. And we don't need new players. we just need the ones we have to start working together in the final third. Also: please don't mention that shitehawk Anelka on the same page as eric again: it made me feel dirty. Thanks.

Its clear that Tevez needs support and Giggs as a striker isn't working. You can't rely on Ole or Saha as they are far too injury prone.

It hurts me even more than we're actually playing like the arse did last year. Lovely football everywhere, dominating posession but simply cannot put the ball in the net. Jesus..I still don't undestand how we lost this game.

Yea. I still feel like once it clicks, that first 11 will be unstoppable. Rooney and Tevez being fed by Ronaldo, Giggs, Hargreaves. Mmmm.

Ashame by then your league challenge might be over. Man United put quite a few decent crosses in today, ashame nobody was in the box. Even Ole would do for now because I'm hearing his ahead of Saha in terms of training.

I'm STILL continuing to say (as I always have) that Tevez is a bit shit. Much worse than everyone thinks. Shocker he had today.

He's in his early 20's and a is three time South American footballer of the year. He's performed very well for his country at International tournaments and literally single handedly kept West Ham in the Premier League. You've underated him. On his day he's as much a handful as Rooney can be.

I think he's been more than inspiring in these 2 performances, especially considering the things shevchenko's just mentioned. He's looked promising, full of decent touches and good running off and on the ball, all that's lacking is that final goalscoring touch which undoubtedly will come on time. Hopefully soon.

I really think we need to try and sign Anelka. I mean at the moment we have Rooney out for two months, and possibly 3 or 4 before he's fully fit and in top form. Then there's Saha and Ole who seem to be forever injured, which just leaves Tevez. And even when Rooney does return, him and Tevez are too similar for my liking and neither are out and out strikers.

Anelka is scoring goals for fun in the premiership, and seems to have sorted out his attitude, the guy is perfect for us. I'm still amazed Ferguson didn't look for an out and out striker in the summer, but instead signed three midfielders...

jesus, i thought i was the one that over-reacted.

anyway, i still stand by my posts and i'm well up on my football. sorry to disappoint you there.

the thing for me is there seems to be something amiss with the team. i can't really put my finger on it and it's purely speculation, but i've got the feeling that all's not well in the dressing room. the way the players have been shouting and shaking their heads at each other in all 3 games so far seems odd.

luckily arsenal, chelsea and liverpool only picked up a point each today but i also still think that we've slipped too far behind to regain the premiership title.

just think about it. how many draws and losses can a title contending side really afford in the premiership these days? well, we've already had enough and i think it'll be too much to pull back.

maybe my attitude of just being a realist and not some blind follower is what pisses you off so much.

See that's a much more grown-up and intelligent post. Saying "season over" after three games (or even two) is also very different to saying we'll not retain the title.

Either way, it's ridiculous to write us off already. There's six points up for grabs against each of the title challengers. It's been a shit start with some very good signs.

Anelka is dressing room poison. I would be stunned if SAF is even thinking about it.

Nah he's not. The papers just love this idea that he's a bastard. 99% of the time I bet he's a perfect team player - but papers don't want to report on that do they.

I'd love to see him with a go faster stripe on his back.

Indeed, by all reports from Bolton he's well liked by the players there IIRC!

Six clubs in 10 years is pretty bad. How well do you think the Bolton players liked him in the off season when he said he wanted to move back to Arsenal?

Great player when he feels like it, but he has that cranky gallic thing going on. If we could be sure we'd be getting the great player I'd be for it, but we'd get the baggage too.

Cantona was described this way as well.

i heard a while ago that it's anelka's brother, his agent, who's the trouble causer. i'm not sure how true that is though.

Yup, apparently it was his brother that influenced move after move.
