Or just sell him while he's still got 18 months left on his contract because leaving it until next summer will only see his value drop, therefore not making it worthwhile for the Glazers to 'service their debt'.

But calling him fat! Are you mental?

I just can't visualise how Rooney has told teamates that he wants to go to City. It just doesn't ring true.

The media is being fed by Rooney's Agent, trying to get United to capitulate on the deal they want for Rooney. Rooney is pissed off because he wants to be playing every week, despite the managers opinions on his form.

Fergie knows this but he won't be seen to give in to Rooneys or the Agents demands. Instead Fergie will play him as much as he see's fit, which will eventually be every game, because he's our best player. After he starts scoring again it will all be hunky dory

Then we can focus on the real issue at hand, which is the squad isn't good enough to compete at the highest level any more. We need positions sorting fast, especially with Giggs, Scholes & VDS likely to retire next summer, plus the fact that a lot of our players just haven't made the grade.

I still think things are in a huge mess, regardless of the fiasco surrounding Rooney taking the heat off the rest of the problems.

If anyone thinks that Rooney wouldn'ot leave Utd needs their heads checking. Heres a Scouse kid, brought up in an Everton household, achieving his every desire by playing for the team he loved at 16. He was utterly idolised in Liverpool and yet chose to walk away. No matter what He has ever said, he doesn't have those same Ties at Man U. Whether he chooses to stay, or all this is some messed up attempt to become Britains highest paid player I dont know, But don't for one minute think that he wouldnt walk, And He's exactly thr sort of personality to turn up at those Blue Bas***** across the city. After all how many people wouldn be itching to play against their former club, in a city that despises him, a few days after revelations that he cheated on his pregnant wife with a bunch of prostitutes?

He's got the skin of a rhino and the greed of a scouser.

I'm not saying that he wouldn't walk away, just that in this instance he won't and that he's definitely not telling the likes of Giggs, Scholes etc that he fancies signing for City.

I don't think the squad is quite that bad, it's just exasperated by the problems in central midfield and Valencia's injury. We know the club are looking for a new keeper so i'm not particularly worried about that and with Nani and Valencia fit it's not like Giggs is a starter anyway.

Who hasn't made the grade? I think you can only really say that about Anderson and Carrick and you could argue that the former is still far to young to make that judgment and the latter did make the grade for a couple of years at least. There are obviously fringe players who maybe don't look good enough but that has been the case forever, it's not a unique situation. I think we've got a decent balance in defense and attack (ignoring Rooney's form!) and the wide areas are probably only a player short due to injuries. What we need to do is ship out Carrick, retire Scholes, buy a quality attacking central midfielder and then try to create some more consistent pairings. I think the inconsistency in midfield selection has caused as many problems over the last couple of years as the players themselves.

Well as an Arsenal fan I can tell you that if everyone knows you're looking for a keeper it can blow up in your face. Clubs will try and take you for a ride by overvaluing players as they know you're desperate, and if the money isn't there to pay a little over the odds, you could be in trouble. :(

So Fergie has just said in his press conference that Rooney has told him he wants to leave and won't sign a new contract.

He's not playing tomorrow night because he has an ankle injury. Lolz.

Rooney you dickhead.

Fuck it. Sell him for a large sum and replace him with an actual goalscorer.

I'm really disappointed in him. I don't know what's happened but I don't understand what could have changed his mind so quickly from wanting to spend the rest of his career at Old Trafford to wanting to leave asap. Fergie says they haven't had any sort of bust up so it's anyone's guess.

Thing is, Rooney will only want to go to a club playing European football, but noone will buy him in January cuz he can't play for them. So that means it'll be the summer before he can leave. By that time I expect him to have gotten over the strop. If he doesn't then we must get a world class striker to replace him, hopefully in a player plus cash deal with someone like Benzema. If we don't replace him with a world class striker I will personally burn the Glazer empire to the ground. (Must be a shed in a car park by now.)

I'll tell you what, this one hurts more than Ronaldo, than Beckham, than Keane, than Tevez. Wayne Rooney will face a fucking shitstorm if he ever sets foot on the Old Trafford turf again. I am absolutely furious. Disloyal, ungrateful cunt.
