Well done Gabzy on getting the score right. :(

I have to say though, I can't remember a game where I've got so annoyed as this one, awful.

Yeah, I can understand that. I really though you'd give us more of a fight but maybe it's because you have quite a few players missing.

At the rate he's going, surely Ronaldo is going to break George Best's goalscoring record for a season. He could even beat the total Van Nistelrooy had a few seasons back. Plus he's 19 off Denis Law's record (IIRC). Maybe enough games left to do it in.

The same Fletcher who cost you the match against West Ham because he lost his marker. Carrick didn't ask for that pricetag you know, you should blame Gill for that, not Carrick. Also what's wrong with his man-marking? Hargreaves lost Jenas twice on Sunday, doesn't make him crap. Carrick tackled a few times also tonight, so I don't know how you could say he's afraid of tackling.

What a fucking show pony that lad is.

Nani :(

Don't worry next year is their year.

RAFA MUST STAY.

So, yeah, Ronaldo. It's mental. Who scored? Who do you think... Reminds me of Ruud, every time he played I was sure he'd score. Well at least before he went sullen and stopped trying.

Ronaldo - King of the continent

Cristiano Ronaldo's scoring spree has not only shot him to the top of the Barclays Premier League's goals chart, he's also leading the way in the continent's top five leagues.

The United number 7's haul of 19 goals in 20 league games is unmatched in England, Italy, France, Spain or Germany. In Italy, the in-form striker is David Trezeguet of Juventus with 15 goals in Serie A, while Karim Benzema of Lyon - United's next Champions League opponents - is top scorer in France's Ligue 1, also with 15 goals.

Luis Fabiano of Seville and Real Zaragoza's Diego Milito are both in the running for Spain's Pichichi trophy, awarded to La Liga's top goalscorer, both with 14 goals.

In Germany's Bundesliga, four players are locked on nine goals - Bayern Munich's Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose, Diego of Werder Bremen and Rafael van der Vaart of Hamburg.

Ronaldo's main challenger for the European Golden Boot is Ajax's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, top scorer in Holland with 20 goals. However, it's Ronaldo's goal haul that has got everyone talking across the continent. No wonder Sir Alex is convinced the Portuguese winger is about to rewrite the record books.

"His goals invite comparison with George Best who became United's highest-scoring winger when he hit 32 goals in the 1967/68 season on his way to being voted European Footballer of the Year," commented the United boss in his Portsmouth programme notes.

"Considering he is scoring at the rate of almost a goal a game, I certainly won't be betting against him joining Best in the record books!"

Now with 27 goals in all competitions, neither will anyone else.

 If he's not the best player in the world so far this season, I don't know who is.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has told BBC Sport Cristiano Ronaldo had spent time with the Gunners before he joined Manchester United in August 2003.

Wenger believes the Portuguese winger Ronaldo signed for United due to the club's links with Sporting Lisbon.

Wenger said: "He was here much earlier - he could tell you that if he wants.

"Manchester United had a partnership with Sporting Lisbon when United assistant coach Carlos Queiroz moved and that made it very difficult."

Wenger refused to elaborate any further when questioned about Ronaldo's time with Arsenal.

"I don't want to create any story that isn't needed," the Frenchman told BBC football correspondent Jonathan Legard.

Ronaldo has been in sensational form all season, scoring 27 goals as well as setting up countless others for the Premier League leaders.

Since joining Arsenal in 1996, Wenger has established an unparallelled reputation for identifying and buying Europe's finest young players.

Whoops!

Just like when Giggs was @ City, but signed for us instead

Tough going today. Spurs getting to most balls first and deserve their lead at the moment.

We need to get our passing together in the second half to take something from this. Only positive seems to be Spurs are starting to get wound up as well and some nasty challenges are going in - they might see a man go, although in fairness Utd have been putting it about a bit too.
