The old Man Utd Thread

Giggs is an awful corner taker, always has been. The percentage of corners that beat the first man is very, very low.

Giggs is playing as well now as he ever has done. His experience, level headedness and vision is second to none. He can still produce that burst of speed to take him past a defender and his through-balls are probably second only to Michael Carrick.

Happy with that result after the awful 2nd half. A fair result on the balance of play though I reckon as the first half showed some promising moves. That away goal should be crucial.

Did anyone think that Rooney should have left Tevs shoulder/header? It would have stood wouldnt it?

Technically, yes. But I still think anyone loitering around the 6 yard box is interfering with play. Keeper has to be aware that they might get a dink on the ball and have to quickly adjust their position.

I think chucking Scholes straight back in the team has unsettled the midfield, against City for example. He needs a few easier games to get back to speed. Would have loved to have seen the same midfield that played against Arsenal.
