V3zna
A good read!http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N...070808-1304.htm Yep, if cunts like Martin Samuel, Brian Woolnough, Andy Gray, Richard Keys etc would like to read it as well it would save a lot of people having to read / listen to a lot of crap next season. Takizawa
That is a very good read, and is exactly what I tell my bro when he brings up the rotation argument.
dizogg
1-0! Which of our exciting new signings has put us in front then? Martin Laursen!
rjpageuk
We were pretty slow getting going but grew into the game and dominated during the spell where we scored. Torres seems to be able to do everything other than score at the moment, Kuyt is all over the pitch and Gerrard looks up for things this season. Villa got a bit more into the game at the end of the half but overall it was a decent enough half.
V3zna
Crouch, Kewell, Macherano and Benayoun not being able to make the 16 suggests we have one hell of a squad.
Ryan
Squad rotation. Guess Macha's being rested because of the Copa America? Babel's looking really good, he should have scored by now.. If you can't get it on TV, a really low quality stream is here: http://www.allp2ptv.com If you can get Sky/Setana sports then they're both worth paying for compared to this. Sadly. V3zna
Failing to kill teams off and conceding late goals against inferior opposition? Yes, it's an action replay of last season.
V3zna
Nope, it's the new Liverpool and we've actually scored from a dead ball. Fuckin hell.
Kelthink
OH GERRARD Jesus, that was a great free kick. Babel looked promising as well, I reckon he could do the biz if he keeps his head screwed on.

Those were pretty much my thoughts too I thought the penalty was a bit harsh and so was the free kick we scored from but we certainly deserved to win. Shevchenko
Important win for Liverpool. If they had dropped points before the Chelsea match, their title ambitions could have been over before they started.
jackson2007
See Babel nneds to play on the left and cut in and use that powerfull right foot of his. He could be a Pires for us. Riise is just crap aprt from his left boot. I honestly think a change in formation is needs to accomodate more creativity. I thought Alonso had a shit game today. He's not the same player away from home. I like Mascherano as not only can pass but also tackle, a combo of Alonso and sissoko. With Alonso in the team, Gerrard has more of a defensive duty, but with Mascha or sissoko, he can concentrate more on atatck, where he is more potent. Ryan
Mache is ideal for away games, but Alonso is too good of a player to leave out for home games. I'd be really tempted to drop Riise - he's a good player, but Babel is so much better going forward..
Takizawa
Well based on today its an absolute mystery why Jamie Carragher isn't a first choice for England, apart from the dodgy penalty decision he never broke sweat coping with Villa, he just does what he does so dam well and I can't speak highly enough of him. Babel is gonna be a god dam superstar too!

Ultimately Ryan Babel is a striker and his days out on the wing are part of a learning process. Riise needs to raise his game and how he got the nod ahead of Kewell is beyond me but we've got 3 points in the bag so that's fair enough. Alonso is a wonderful talent but he needs to move to the next level. Mascherano is the best young defensive midfielder on the planet, Sissoko looks like he's progressed since last season and Lucas hasn't joined us to play 18 reserve matches a season. Lies. Ledley King and Wes Brown are much more worthy of a start for England. Actually they're not and McClaren hasn't got a clue. There's not a better English defender than Carra in the Premier League. Don't get me wrong I think Vidic and Carvalho are super players but they're obviously not English. Warszawa
Yesterday's game was really encouraging - Okay, we missed chances but ultimately we created them and looked fluid going forward. Last year we'd have controlled that game easily, but failed to create clear cut chances - we'd have had plenty of shots, but they'd have all been from the edge of the area. Yesterday it was a wide range and as soon as our players sharpen up that sort of match will turn into a 4 goal drubbing. Torres looks like the sort of all round striker we've dreamed of for ages (a much less hideous but nonetheless Rooney type of forward who can do it all) Kuyt appears to have found his ideal partner and Ryan Babel promises to be the sort of dynamic, attacking winger we've required for a long time. Prediction: If Gerrard finds his very best form almost week in, week out, we'll probably win the league this year. If not, we'll scrape third or forth. Just as Man Utd would've struggled to claim a CL spot last time around had Cristiano Ronaldo misfired all season.
Kelthink
I thought their 'keeper was exceptional yesterday (guess Carson will be pissed off with that ) and was probably the reason we didn't get more than we did; he made plenty of vital decisions that saved the other team's bacon. Promising stuff from Torres and Babel, love all the stupid twats making comments like 'what crap signings! Liverpool are still a one-man team', indicating that yes, they don't watch football matches. tenrou
I thought we looked pretty good. I don't know why rafa played arbeloa at righ back and Riise in midfield though. Riise should have been left back and babel/kewell/benayoun on the left wing. I really like the look of torres as well. He is the one player we have who is completely set on shooting when he gets a chance. He'll get us 20 this season. I agree with one of the previous posters though. I don't think 4-4-2 suits us. I see us more as a Man U 4-5-1.

Stilly
Dogsout's back! Good holiday? How was the 4-berth in Rhyl? ....... Early days yet, but I can't wait to see more games involving the new signings. Kuyt-Torres partnership looks promising, even at this stage.
