The commentator for this Toulouse game is a fuckin noob!

"Steve Carragher" and "that memorable 2003 European Champions League final against Juve".

Are you talking about Dean Saunders on Setanta?

He has been hilarious and kept me occupied during the massively dull game. Liverpool won and cruised it and we were never going to be pushing that hard but it was still a very dull game.

According to Saunders Fulham are going to be buying Liverpool, Liverpool have Spartak Moscow later on this evening and he likes goalkeepers that are "alive"

The other guy said that, actually.

Man, Dean Saunders is such a FANNY though! Does thay guy bang on or what?! I like the guy, but football commentary really isn't his thing.

Saunders was so bad, he was better than the match - still great strike, hope he hasn't peaked too soon.

MOM for me, Hyypia was awesome and just nicked it, with Arbeloa just behind, very impressed with those two. Voronin third with that shot.

He also started claiming Voronin is 23. ^_^^_^

Usually games against Chelsea are approached with slight reservations but for once I can't wait until Sunday. We really could lay down a marker for the rest of the season by beating them again convicingly. Chelsea seem to be fully capable of scoring and conceding with alarming regularity but I can already see that Liverpool are a superior team to last seasons but the 'new' Chelsea, although entertaining, are hardly a vastly improved side. Once again it all hinges on Rafa and Rafa only. Does he unleash the rather spectacular Babel against Johnson / Ferreira? Does Pennant get played ahead of Gerrard on the right? Surely Stevie, if fit, plays in the middle with either Alonso or Mascherano? Agger's a season more experienced and should cope with Drogba better. I certainly see goals in this one with Torres on the scoresheet. It's not make or break time but home wins against the other three are important in the long term.

Makes sense and I agree. IF Gerrard isn't fit though, will we play Alonso further forward, Benayoun in there or what? Difficult one to call.

I'm not entirely sure what Benitez sees as Benayoun's role just yet. I don't see him starting this one. I don't see Babel starting it either, that's just wishful thinking on my part.

I reckon we'll see:

---------------Pepe

Finnan---Carra--Agger---Arbeloa

---------------Masch

Pennant------Stevie-------Riise

-----------Kuyt

---------------------Torres

I wouldn't be surprised to see Xabi in the middle instead of Masch, though.

Totally agree although it'll be Alonso ahead of Mascherano. I'd still like to see Babel have a go at Johnson or Ferreira. A half hour cameo will have to do.

Anybody else really psyched up for this Chelsea game on Sunday yet? I've been listening to Dave Kirby's Radio City CL Semi special quite a bit over the last couple of days and it's bringing back the memories. I still don't know how we lost that final but I think that second leg of the semi was my favourite football moment since Istanbul.

If we can play as well as we did that night it'll be three points in the bag, no doubt.

I know what you mean mate. I'm really looking forward to it and was hoping to go down the pub to see it but alas, no money. Will be catching it at my parents house though, hopefully after seeing City beat Utd. That would be a fine fine day!

I loved that Semi-Final. We really showed our true worth that day. I was in Spain at the time and it was such a special time. Lit up a big fat Cigar to celebrate after that :)

Well you were right, the team has now been announced:

Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Agger, Arbeloa, Pennant, Gerrard, Alonso, Riise, Kuyt, Torres

Chelsea appear to have Essien at right back with Terry back at centre of defence.

They are:

Cech, Essien, Terry, Ben Haim, Cole, Phillips, Lampard, Mikel, Malouda, Drogba, Kalou

Go Liverpool!
