Tequila

Corporal Flashback

Recommended Posts

I have no idea about brands of tequila. However I did go to a house party a few weeks ago and, after tiring of drinking beer, I decided to get a MUG of tequila. And strolled around glugging it. And then refilled it a few times. Needless to say I remembered hardly anything the next day, fun.

Rubbish, drinking games are full on manly tests of your endurance, not a girly opportunity to giggle and gossip. The Centurian is a must, and tequila slammers are the best way to kick start a night out.

Hmm well if it's just a single shot then that's 25ml isn't it? So that's about 5 and a half cans in 100 minutes. That's probably quicker than you'd do it normally, but do you not feel a bit... stupid?

The shot size for this is generally 35ml.

Futhermore, it's meant to be quite deceptive. It's supposed to get into your bloodstream much quicker than it would normally because you're drinking little and often, thus you generally get quite sozzled by the end of it.

Oh right, that's about 8 cans then - I imagine drinking 8 cans in 100 minutes would get you quite drunk, but I'd still rather just drink it. Making a game out of it seems a bit iwearapinkshirtandgotothesunbedsandimproudofit-ish

As a wise man once said though (none other than Gamezville's very own Darren Malcolm) Different Horses for Different Courses.

I drank just under half a bottle of tequila the other week in a very short period, needles to say I got wasted. I only did it cause everyone else in the room was being pussys and throwing up after the first shot; I had to prove I was dead 'ard.

Shots of anything get you pissed quicker. I was in a bar with a load of Vietnamese the other day and they were playing this dice game.

You have a pot of about 10-15 dice (it doesn't matter exactly how many), then the first player chooses a number from 1 - 6 and throws. All dice showing that number are removed and the remaining dice are put back in the pot and passed to the next player; if the number doesn't appear (and the chances grow as the dice amount falls) then they have to take a shot and roll again.

The game continues till all the dice have been removed.

The current winner also gets to decide how much drink goes in the shot glass.

Centurion is really rather odd, even if you just do it with a 4% lager you end up completely shitfaced by the end of it, a lot of the people I've done it with can't even finish. :(

Back when I did mostly spirits, drinking games were kinda fun. Now I'd rather just drink my pint.

I hate drinking games. It's all about gulping down the ale or sipping on a whisky.

God I sound old.

I agree, and I'm only 18 for Christ sake. Fuck your WKDs and Magners, a nice single malt is where it's at.

Well, if you tried Centurion with any kind of spirit, your liver would probably implode about half way through.

I don't rate patron that highly.

Tequila ambar is my favourite plata, beautiful in a margarita with gran marnier.

It has an extra shot in the bottle stopper, so you still have some left after sharing with friends.

Centenario comes in a lovely art deco bottle and is a gentle, almost floral tequila.

If you didn't already know, tequila fest is in September in London and involves a whole day of tequila tasting, tequila talks ( last year they did chocolate pairing as one of the talks and another on cocktails ) and Mexican food. Tickets could be a good supplement.
