Ever walked out of a movie?

Recommended Posts

I think i've walked out on one film before, but it was that bad I can't remember what it was...

I fell asleep during 'A series of unfortunate events' as I'd been up all the previous night. Pity, as I was quite enjoying it. I've also fallen asleep during viewings of '2001' and 'Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind', both incredibly boring films. I bought 'Die Another Day' on DvD and walked out mid way through, leaving my parents to watch it. Abismal film.

2001, okay. I fell asleep once too. But Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind!? :D Dead inside.

You mean 'tense'.

Whilst ferret2k is probably being a little harsh it does drag, and is ruined by Pacino's terrible performance. As I always maintain, LA Takedown is loads better, as it's much tighter and has no Pacino.

It's no Carlito's Way or Godfather, but I wouldn't have said Pacino's performance was terrible. I haven't seen it in a few years, but I don't remember it dragging. Rose tinted specs, perhaps.

He ruins the film for me. It's also more to do with the excellent pacing of LA Takedown in comparisson - it's just a better movie. I also think that the guy who had the DeNiro role was better too, but maybe I'm just PLUM CRAZY.

Haven't seen it, so I can't compare the two.

I also wish I'd walked out of Troy. Or been able to kill whoever eviscerated The Iliad. Love story between Achilles and Briseis? The whole fucking war lasting TWO FUCKING WEEKS (including the ten days of funeral games for Hector?) Just plain evil, that.

I sneaked into the cinema one afternoon with a colleague (the cinema was directly oppsite my office and we had to hide in the queue in case my admin staff spotted us) Inside, someone else appeared who we had to hide from, so we were sunk low in our seats.

It was Cats and Dogs and was so terrible we had to sneak out after 20 minutes, trying not to attract attention and go back to work all 'nonchilont loike'

Natural Born Killers. I was there with about six friends and three of us simultaneously piped up with a 'Shall we go?' I understand the point it's trying to make, but I'd got it after about three minutes, so the lack of any other ideas in it's head meant it struggled to compete with the Crucble Bar.

Almost left Batman Begins too but me mate had paid for tickets and it was in Imax so felt compelled to stay. Batman Begins is a mirthless slice of trying-too-hard.

When was it that you died inside? Did it hurt? :D

Scribbler, don't be horrible. It's a movie franchise - the profits don't go to building hospitals or owt.

Maybe I just wasn't in the mood but it just felt soooo self-important. I've never really got Batman anyway. Give me Adam West running down a pier with a BOMB over Christopher Nolans boring meditation on vigilanteeism anyday.

I didn't mean to be horrible! Sorry if I upset you. I was just joshing.

Oceans Twelve - big fan of the first one, disapointed that Catherine Zeta Jones was in it as I hate her but still looked forward to it.

First half was mediocre but I stayed with it assuming their would be a good end heist then they decided Julia Roberts looked like Julia Roberts and I was close to walking out.

The Bruce Willis turned up and after that I was out of there - leaving my girlfriend alone in the cinema while I sat in the foyer. And from what I heard the ending was crap as well.

Nearly walked out (and should of)

Conspiracy Theory but didn't because Patrick Stewart was in it

The Mexican but didn't because James Gandofini was in it

Planet of the Apes remake but didn't because I was stunned that Burton had made such a shit film

Hulk - As above replace Burton with Ang Lee

Godzilla - Don't know why I didn't

Alien 4 - Because the worst bit didn't happen until the very end

I walked out of the first Lord of the Rings film. I was actually falling asleep halfway through so there was no way I could have stuck it out until the end. I gave it a second chance on DVD but I didn't finish it then either. Nope, I just didn't like it at all.

I watched the sequel twice now. Pretty sure it's because of Kate Beckinsale, but I really feel dirty about doing it - both movies are just so bland, with no understanding of pacing or story. Might have to buy the Porridge box set to even up the karma.

Yes. A thousand times yes. Both films are shit, and as Gambit says, how did they possibly make it boring?

Another one they managed to make boring despite having the funnest premise and that I probably should have walked out of: Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow. Utter turgid shite.

only film ive walked out on in Holiday. Awfull film beyond belef, left at the point when kate winslet arrives at the american house and goes spaz. I felt embaressed just watching it.

I think the only DVD ive turned of was Garden State, about 20 mins of the end. It was all awful but i kept thinking to myself that it would get better soon. Also i would probally of turned it of earlier but i was too tired to bother.

Also the Incredable Hulk movie i stopped watching about half way through, it was just amazingly boring
