Photo Contest - June

Subject: Music:Response

Closing Date: 8PM, 30th June 07

The subject for this month's Rllmuk photo contest, as chosen by last months winner, Futureshock, is Music:Response. People should feel free to experiment with abstractions, portraits and even triptychs if it helps visually communicate music and its effects.

The contest is open to anyone on the forum. Don't worry about your skillz - this is just for fun - but hopefully it will help people improve their photography, whatever level they're at. To aid this, feedback and constructive criticism are encouraged.

Rules

- Photographs must be taken by you - no nicking them off the Web

- Photos must be taken specifically for the contest - get out there and get snapping!

- One picture per person.

- No excessive digital manipulation (i.e. adding a more dramatic sky from another photo to your picture, or creating negative images etc.). Cropping and adjusting levels, contrast, saturation etc. is ok though.

- Equipment: Anything goes as long as the results can be seen from here.

- Voting takes place when the contest closes.

- The winner of the contest gets to choose the next subject.

- Late entries will not be included in the voting.

Any suggestions on how to make this run better are welcome in the rules discussion topic.

NOTE: Please do not post pictures in this thread unless they are valid entries for the contest (see rules above). Thanks.

EDIT: Bugger, didn't see the rule about photos being taken specifically for the contest so that rules me out..

As long as it was taken after 7:54am on the 7th of June 2007, it's fine.

The rule is mainly meant to stop people just entering suitable shots from their libraries rather than going out and taking part.

First one is much more dramatic in my opinion, both really good though.
I agree, I like the first one better as well, but it's your choice :)

Welcome to the forum Ewan!

Thanks for that! Im still in two minds as to which one I like best, the first one is better because you can see the water splashes a bit better, the second one is more eye-catching I think. :(
