Writing off one of the greatest players in history as unwatchable because he takes up the whole shot clock on his serves - something he's far from alone in - is pretty drastic, I'd suggest.

I don't mind Nadal playing slowly when he's serving - it's in the rules and he's perfectly entitled to take that time, even if I personally prefer watching players who go a bit quicker.

 

However, I've always been irritated by him slowing things down when returning, when the laws state he should play at the server's pace. He's definitely been allowed to persistently disrupt opponents' rhythm through his entire career, but obviously it's down to the umpires to enforce the rules, and they have all completely failed to do so.

dunno. Tsitsipas did hit a ball into the crowd, and did try to take kyrgios out. 
 

(but bear in mind I don’t like tsitsipas, and kyrgios being nuts is kind of priced in)

exactly. If you can’t keep your cool while kyrgios does kyrgios self destructive things, you deserve to lose.

Kyrgios getting 77% of first serves in, and winning 85% of them, is probably why Tsitipas is actually nerked.
