I'd e very surprised, as you can only connect one board to a Wii. It says so in the manual.

The second player will stand on a Wiimote instead.

I think I may pick this up at a cash converters in a few months time. £70... fuck off.

My initial WiiFit thoughts:

If your first WiiFit age was calculated while you were still getting to grips with the board, do some exercises and try again later. My first age was a good +11 years (eek!). After getting used to the board (and more importantly, not just timing out on the last of the balance tests), I re-did the test and arrived at a wholly satisfactory +1 year. Despite being comfortably into the 'overweight' range.

Males! On NO ACCOUNT WHATSOEVER allow anyone else see you perform the 'jogging' stage, unless you want to be dubbed the girliest male ever to flounce about Planet Earth.

It's all jolly good fun.

(Extra bonus secret tip: if you've got a WiiKey fitted, and you're worried about the forced update (like me), there is a way around it (or at least, there was for me). What this entails might be against RLLMUK rules, so either Google it, or IM me.)

I have to say, I was in town most of the day and I expected a sort of Mario Kart buzz around this. There wasn't. All the big shops had prevelant displays for the game, but - unlike with MK - I don't think I saw a single copy being bought and most people seemed to browse and then wander off.

That said, it'll clearly be #1 this week.

Surely the £70 price tag will be putting people off. I got the same impression about it's availability.

I tried the pushups and seriously, couldn't do one (well as in push up AND the one hand thing). The rest I just collapsed on the floor while the instructor continued.

...yet I got 2 stars, seems to be over kind?

Thats odd, in Lisburn NI all I could see were people with it under their arms...

It is pretty tough that one, the push ups are at a slow controlled pace and Im not used to my arms being so close together when doing them. I did finish it on my first go and get 4 stars though :)

The distance of my arms being apart I found really tough. Naturally, my hands would be another 6 inches apart at least.

Weight was ok but my age came out at +10, mainly due to me not quite being ready for the first fitness test. Hope to do better today.

Really enjoying it. It has that something new feeling that Wii Sports had. Presentation is lovely. Had a quick go before my wife spent most of the night on the skiing - real potential for a full blown game there.

Anecdotal sales evidence - Meadowhall in Sheffield was full of people struggling with heavy carrier bags.

Picked this up myself depsite not really needing it for the exercise as such (I already do running anyway) but a bit of variety won't do any harm. Well, it's new toy honestly but I'll try to convince myself that :)

Might be helpful with my balance though, which is absolutely shocking at the moment - I just can't stand on one leg without looking like a 6ft jelly! Probably explains why I hurt my knee in the first place if I'm running like a freak.

Sales-wise watch - Lincoln Game was dead, nothing like the MK queue (seriously, that was silly long) - but it was early morning and the people this is aimed at were probably lounging in bed still!

I got it from Toys R Us after the wait for GTA became so unbearable I had to salve it with a yoga board, but i'm very impressed so far. Saw three other people buying it when i was there, all slightly podgy women in their 30's with boyfriends displaying a mixture of glee they've hooked their girlfriend into games and horror they might not get in a look in from now on.

I found the Yoga strangely satisfying but it's telling me i'm a master when I'm blatantly not doing it right, and the step dancing is ridiculously confusing, the Miis don't even seem to be in time with the steps. Also I can't work out the correct rhythm for jogging, any tips?

Tried it around a friend's house and I must say I am pretty impressed. It still looks a little like a fad but I can see that it could really help some people but more with making them aware of the problem and encouraging them to do more. Much like the Brain Training games. I got a BMI of 19 if I remember correctly so that's pretty damn good I'd have thought.

Same down here - I saw loads of people walking around with it tucked under their arms.

Also, went for a drink with the girlfriend and her work mates after work and they were all talking about it. One, a 40 year old woman, was buying a Wii and Wii Fit the next day.

I was quite surprised that they all knew it existed.

It is good fun and you definitely feel like you are getting a workout but I'm disappointed how they calculate your Wii Fit age. Unless I am mistaken it is based on your BMI, centre of gravity and the results of a couple of balance tests. Now my BMI is fine (22) as is my COG but I am just useless at stuff which relies on balance and always have been so even when I do well at the other activities I can't see my age decreasing significantly (it is currently +9).

I was surprised to find the yoga activities really satisfying. I had assumed I'd skip straight through them but they give you a really nice workout.

I think you're Wii Fit age is based purely on those balanced tests you do after you 'weigh in' because if you choose to skip the tests then there will be no record of your wii fit age that day. My BMI is really high but my Wii Fit age as of today is 22 and I'm 24! :)

.::: It's now sold out in Amersfoort, Netherlands as well; I got the last one all the others were reservations. It seems most shops had more Wii Fit reservations than GTA IV as well. Scary. The set was also €10 cheaper than I expected. Though this may mean UK people are getting shafted with an extra €10 on top in their currency. :/

I already do some lightweight fitness routines myself (nothing fancy, as my Wii Fit Age of 39 emphasized) and I was quite amazed what's in this package. Makes even push-ups slightly more fun. :) But the jogging is taking the cake. It's one thing to be running on the spot, but having random friends, family and 'mukers run past you is UNACCEPTABLE. :P

The only problem I have with it, is that the presentation is like watching Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde reenacted. One moment you're being guided along in all seriousness, the next you get a FitPiggy running by, and the entire game goes into cutesy overload with the other 'games' as well. It's a bit odd, and I can't see why they'd ever thought the two styles would mix. Well, they do mix. In a way. But the clash between them is mind bending.
