time to get the whole thing downloaded. I like to marathon on my shows instead of watching each week.

Currently doing the same thing for Dexter, its been really hard resisting the weekly download, but a weekend doing nothing but watching a whole season of Dexter with a few beers is a sublime moment, and worth the wait.

Just watched this whole season. Was excellent, and this thread already highlighted most of the great bits: Charlie Runkle, Lou Ashby, the dinner party scene, Hank (obviously), episode 11, "read your karl marx", etc etc.

Ashby took a few episodes to 'kick in' for me, but he had a cool personality and his rock star life fit in pretty well with the tone of this series.

Watched series one over easter weekend and series two over the past two nights. Fantastic show from start to finish. The humour, the writing, the acting, the perversity of it all, just everything. And this is from somebody who barely watches any tv. Anything else out there remotely like it while I wait for series 3?

Not really, I'm afraid. Its honesty is completely unique. The closest thing to it that I can think of is Bill Hicks' standup.

It's probably the only thing remotely like it, but this is a much, much, better show than Entourage I think. Enoutarage seems a bit frat-boy ish to me. At that same time it is very tame in comparison to some of the really screwed up stuff in this.

Renewed for fourth season

Showtime will keep califonicating, as they order more adventures for Hank Moody (David Duchovny).

The cable channel has announced a fourth season pickup for their comedy Californication, just a week after Season 3 premiere.

The pickup is no surprise, after Season 3 began with very strong ratings, up 57% from Season 2. Season 4 will consist of 12 episodes, which will debut sometime in 2010.
