Had some flexi time to take off work and chose to get it on mondays and tuesdays so been enjoying the 5 coverage. Last nights game was good (Bears vs Vikings) it was done by the end of the third but incredible 99 yard TD pass in the first half. Be watching later! Good to see my 'Fins get a win this week and keep the wildcard road open!

Just got an email from the Mike Carlson Appreciation Society on Facebook saying NFL (and all US sports) is being cut from Channel 5. No more NFL after this regular season.

I've signed the petition (I am that desperate), but this is really disappointing news. I can't afford Sky Sports, and don't want to. Genuinely gutted. :o

NFL on sky has been really good over the past few years. I would seriously recommend it if your into NFL. There are 5 live games this week, each one gets full highlights the next day.

Edit: Actually there are 6.

Two problems here:

1) It's on SKY.

2) I don't have SKY.

This thus leads to a third situation: I'm not buying SKY. I'm really disappointed that one of the fastest growing sports in Britain is being removed off terrestrial TV at the worst possible time. Now, they're also removing baseball (which I suppose is fair enough, even if it is my favourite sport)...and basketball and ice hockey. Ice hockey! Getting smaller in America, yet is probably Britain's second fastest-growing sport behind UFC. Ridiculous stuff from Five, and hopefully something they'll reconsider sharpish.

Just bought my tickets for October. Sitting in almost identical seats to the ones I was in last year. Now all I have to do is hope for a game of some quality. Hopeful for that though.

£8.50 service charge a ticket is ridiculous though. My £95 is now £103, and that third digit makes me feel a little nauseous.

Good NFC championship game the other day. A cheeky 2 points from the Cardinals at the end to add a bit more pressure to the Eagles, who couldn't return the favour.

Looking forward to being able to watch the superbowl without worrying about only getting 3 hours kip before work, heh.

1. He's not funny.

2. He appears to know very little about American Football.

These two facts might make an American Football-presenting comedian reconsider his job prospects. Although Five have already decided the first part of this matter.

Well, I think he's funny.

He knows plenty about the sport but has to give a layman's point of view. If you ever chat with him it would be rather more in-depth.
