I love NFL but find it difficult to find time to watch it due to Spanish football on Sunday night, plus working early hours as postman. I will try to watch more American Football this season. Sky+ is crap as the space is not bigger enough for Gridiron.

Massive Sunday night game this week: Bolts v Patriots, in New England. You can bet the Patriots are going to come out firing to prove that the taping stuff (exciting espionage details here) wasn't their secret sauce, Bolts are still pissed about the playoff victory last year. Bad blood there. I'm a little worried tbh: the patriots look very, very good. Then again the Jets aren't the sternest of tests. Randy Moss? Randy Toss more like.

Pats/Bolts really is a huge game for so early in the season.

Big Game Prediction: winner of this game wins the superbowl.

Big Game Hope: Bolts win 20-10, LT gets some yards in, all the big players stay healthy.

Other Predictions: Colts get exposed, lose (or scrape win) against the Titans. Alex Smith (future all-star) continues to improve, SF roll over the Rams. Saints, desperate after their opening day humiliation, win handily against a beat up Bucs squad. Dolphins beat the horribly over-rated cowboys.

Football's back. It's good.

I played for six years at uni and senior level but had to stop last year after screwing up really badly. I might play again next year, but it really does eat up the weekends... I really miss running into people as hard as possible though :)

I'm torn. Your Chargers annoyed me last week. Yep, they deserved to win but they did so much trash talking after the game they went down in my estimation – especially after bitching about the Pats doing the same after their play-off win in SD last season. So I'd been hoping the NE would kick their ass.

But now I don't know. The Pats have tarnished their legacy horribly. They cheat. Plain and simple. I may not like the Chargers mouthing off like Terrell Owens in week bloody one, but at least they won their game fairly.

Who did you play for?

I played for the UKC Falcons , played a little for the Maidstone Pumas and lastly with the East Kent Mavericks.

Played D-Line mostly along with some RB, QB and then Linebacker most recently. My favorite moment was scoring a 99yard touchdown from a recovered fumble to win against Southampton in the last play of the game! That got us into the playoffs! Our first match was against... Southampton. They won :D

Mouthed off about the Pats you mean? If so it needs to be looked at in context: last year everyone here in SD thought they were going to win the Superbowl, no question. A team that's been shit for ever was getting talked up like nobody's business. The Pats came in a ripped that away from them, so I can understand why they're pissed.

Pats thing is really interesting. Great Yahoo piece on it here. Definitely tarnished their legacy... three superbowls, each by a field goal. Having thats sort of information has got to be worth 3 points a game, right? But you think they're the only ones at it?

No they were slagging off the Bears. Ron Rivera has been mouthing off about Rex and other players on the Bolts D have waded in. It's unbecoming. I like SD but I didn't like that.

Vince Young is so much fun to watch: he's what everyone thought Michael Vick was going to be. Just threw two of the best passes you'll see all year to pull the Titans within two. The touchdown pass came despite his left tackle blowing his assignment, allowing 270 pounds of charging angry colt a free shot at him. The guy is just money.
