Heroes Season 4

The Season Three two hour season opener was on tonight in North America. I personally thought it was quite shit, especially the first hour.

Yup, I just watched the first part and was bored throughout apart from the Hiro parts which were alright.

Is the second part worth persevering through? I feel like if I stop watching I'll miss out on all of the goodness that the build up to the finale will contain.

That was... hmm... fucking nonsense bullshit. Entertaining fucking nonsense bullshit, but fucking nonsense bullshit nonetheless. This is actually one of the most schizophrenic and insane shows I've ever seen. All laws of storytelling are thrown out of the window. Comic books are smarter than this.

Attempt to make Mohinder less annoying and more integral to the show: FAIL. I'm waiting for him to start being sick on his food.

So that entire arc of season 1, "Save the cheerleader", was all for shit? Just put the top of her head back on.

"Oh, but I am your mother..." This has a pretty big budget for a daytime soap opera.

I can't drag myself away from watching it although all the plotlines have been done a lot better through the medium of comic books. The whole 'It's so bad it's good' line fits this show perfectly.

It's entertaining to see which comic plot has been ripped off and badly adapted each season.

I view it as a comedic show that doesn't take itself too seriously, just like Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Although with Hercules, The actors seemed to be in on the joke. With Heroes, not so much.

Well, I got exactly what I wanted from a sci-fi series whose writer who has based his entire work on 70+ years of comic books and graphic novels and I'm intrigued as to what is going to happen.

Parkman trapped in Africa by Future Peter? Present Peter trapped in a villain's body? Future Peter changing things for the worse? Sylar altering Claire so she can't feel any pain? Angela Petrelli taking over The Company reins and claiming to be Sylar's mother? Nathan being the only one to see Linderman? Is she Nikki or is Tracy someone else entirely like a clone? Suresh's body changing into something else but what? Quite a few strands to begin with!

Oh and Suresh is one lucky beggar!

Yeah the first hour wasn't that good really, very slow and nothing of worth. Oh and they just replaced New York with Tokyo, what's with cities being destroyed?

The second hour was much better. Suresh is now Spider-Man but a hornier version. We'll see where the series heads, it's entertaining but it's nothing of worth yet.

The start of this thread makes no sense - add a 'season 3 discussion starts on page X'.

Done for you.

The paintings depict the entire world breaking apart, so I assume that is what is happening, rather than it being local Tokyo destruction.
