It shouldn't. We all have to do it, but I truly wish we didn't.

Before I slip into a food coma from the Christmas Eve buffet of delights, I shall post another update.

Sakura is stil doing well. I had some positive mail on my latest run, which was lovely. I lost to Hegg's Adon because he did a level 3 focus attack as I was getting up. I don't know if I can ever forgive him for this. On the plus side, I did hit Fierce hayate - > Super - > Ultra with Makoto in one of our random select friendly matches afterwards and it made me feel good inside.

I fought RaverHunt in T. Hawk mirrors and beat him, ending with EX Spire - > EX tomahawk - > EX dive. He sent me a really long voice message about how my Hawk is better than his and much respect and he has to learn that thing I used to beat him and whatnot. I nearly cried because it felt like I ruined his Christmas. He mashes 360 a *lot* but he's such a lovely man. Also a proper geezaaaah. Joffo knows.

Lastly, I fought some 15k bp Ryu player called "Algerian SSFIV", who battered my Sakura twice. He then joined again and I removed him from the session. He sent me "FUCKIN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB!" What a gent.

I think Denjin is also popular in 3S because Vanao uses it, and he's one of the few players who makes Ryu look like a real threat in 3S. Parries are such bad news for Ryu because they are at odds with all the SF fundamentals, and Ryu is Mr. SF Fundamentals. Kuroda reckons that Denjin at high level is up there with Genei Jin as one of the scariest supers in the game.

Observe the stunny death:

Oh, and the video is courtesy of TheShend's channel, as you'd expect.

SFIV Iphone is fun times. I'm better a FADC combos in iphone than I am in the full game. Also they've made links super easy, so much so that I tend to play Guile on it because his combos can be rattled off like you're playing Super Turbo. When I get a new iphone I'm going to pick up Dee Jay because he'll presumably play like the HDR version rather than the stupidly difficult SSFIV version.

Sakura is at 4800BP. So close to that B.

Henry Cen reckons AE will be DLC, that it'll drop in June and will cost about $20. All rumours though.

Merry Christmas, punchers! Mothafuckin' Poirot is on and I'm so wildly hungover I feel like I've been dragged through an attack factory. Also, hilariously, my Hates-losing-at-games-to-the-point-of-violent-rage-and-hilariously-girly-squealing mate sent me a text to say he's just got SSFIV for Christmas, and that I should go over to his to find out who's the best once and for all. Haha, last time I played him was about a month after the release of Vanilla, and I won 142 matches to 12. OCD rematchin' for the win. I'm gonna secretly record his rage, hopefully.

Mulled wine flavoured tea from Whittards is amaaaaaaaaaaaaze.

Also, I don't think there's anything that feels more At-Your-Mum's-House than Poirot.

I've not used it 'cos I don't have a phone with fancy pixels, but one of the twinks I bussed down to SVB with had it, and it seemed pretty useful and easy to navigate. I've not really delved into much frame data nonsense before, but it was easy enough for me to understand as well after he pointed out what I should be looking at. Pretty damn cheap too.

I wish you could use it by clicking a series of moves then the app would tell you wether or not it would be possible in theory, and how many frames you'd have for each link etc. I guess it's more complex to do that it sounds though, what with different moves pushing you back different distances and stuff.

I'd love to have it combined with that site that tells you what you can punish on block and stuff.

I'm so achingly bored.

The presentation on that app is another world of ugly, which is a real shame because that idea really appeals to me.

If someone could do one of those with a list of BNBs and notable moves like anti airs etc too that would be unbelievable - a little resource to help you learn a new character.

I would actually even proabably drop 59 pennies on an app that just showed me each characters ultra motion. I can never find them in the manual in time during Random Select marathons.

Yeah, SSFIV really would benefit from showing them on the Ultra select or Vs screen, like 3rd Strike does.

Yeah, I've always thought this as well. It should at least pop up on the loading screen (for us random selecters, obv)

Yeah, random select is the main reason for me too. I think the worst culprits for me are Fei and Cammy's counter Ultras. I never, ever remember them. I think I once tried to develop a stalagmite, stalactite system for remembering them, but it just didn't work out. Savlon.
