I've preordered it through amazon. Might change to steam for the tf2 stuff...

Worryingly that was my first thought as well the items look really good, I won't cancel though as I've got a good deal. Just the situation the trade beta was done for, sure they'll be some on here that have but don't want them so happy to trade.

Erm.. anyone get an email from Green Man Gaming giving them the Steam activation code?

I'm downloading it from Steam now. Isn't this a week+ early?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think it's just a pre-install. That's good, I'm going away for the weekend, I almost didn't want it sitting on my Hard drive.

If anyone wants this Deus Ex Team Fortress stuff, let me know as I'm really not fussed about them. You will however need to explain to me how this whole trading thing works, as I have no idea. I guess in the unlikely event there's a massive rush for them, they'll go to the first person claiming them.

You need the trade beta update, get it from account/setting, then add the person to your friend list and invite them to trade via that. I shall register my interest in them, do you want anything for them?

Nah, free to RLLMUK people. I've installed the update - my Steam account name is "ersatz_nihilist", just add me on there and I'll transfer them across to you. If you don't catch me in the next 15 minutes or so, it may need to wait until next week as I'm away for the weekend. But they're earmarked for you, don't worry.

edit - I've found your Steam ID. Heh.

edit again - Items gone I'm afraid. Trade system is pretty cool though.

Shopto has this at £24.85. I am very tempted....

Have to say I find it very worrying that there a several teirs of game to be bought. By spending an extra tenner I would get some extra XP and a few groovy weapons. Is it just the cynic in me, or is that just a bit exploitative?

I have just finished playing through the entire game I am not saying how I obatined it however I will say that having not downloaded any preview copy to devalue the ride and having studied the original Deus Ex games and System Shock over the Summer.

This is possibly the most enjoyable experience in a game I have has since Ocarina of Time.

As I am quite judgemental about certain games these days as well this is high praise.

I have enjoyed the tapestry of this game very much.

Now I have the graphic novels to read as a sweetner...and the bonus material.

Rating A+ 5G's 10/10 97%

The best game I have played in over a decade.

I'm torn over whether to get this game at launch or not.

On one hand it's apparently amazing and I really want to play it but on the other hand I kinda made myself a promise not to buy any new games until I'd worked through some of my Steam and gog.com catalogue. Mind you this will probably be the last game I buy this year, not a chance in hell will I buy another Bethesda game at launch, and nothing else except swtor really interests me enough to fork out £30 at launch for when it will be available for half that in six months time.

The game is pretty good . Having not played the originals , I wasn't sure what to expect - all I had been told where that they were great ( well don't think the follow upwas that great ).

I'm not keen on the having mini game thing though .

Not that I'm overly bothered, but the graphics in that bitchslapping video looked really awful in places.

The cut scene animation isn't great - faces in particular . Very early 360 / last gen style . In game graphics are pretty good though .
