Good lord Capcom...

But it makes the wait for a dedicated RE Wii game in the same vein of RE4 all the more frustrating. Phew.

Yep, that's true. At least we know Capcom aren't wasting too much time on this one. Just looks like a case of slapping Wii controls onto the same game. I'd be surprised if there are any other differences.

Yeah, I tell you what I'd rather they did - stop making those games like Bionic Commando, Street Fighter 4 and Resi 5 for the other consoles, and make a NEW RESI on the Wii!!!

I can understand it probably didn't sell very well in Japan on the GC initial release and due to Wii's RE4 and UC success they probably wanna make a easy few bucks.

Exactly.

A lot of console owners in Japan probably made the jump from PS2 to Wii so missed out on this when it was first released.

This was a decent game for the 'Cube. Deserves a second chance at some success.

Own it. Played it. Enjoyed it. As an RE fan, I've bought and played most of the RE franchise, with the exception of the Survivor games.

Yes, that includes both RE:Outbreak 1 & 2, Dead Aim and even RE:Gaiden on the GBC.

Compared to those, RE0 is a worthy part of the franchise.

Surely though it would make more sense to release the game worldwide if there aim was to make a few quick bucks with the number of new gamers the wii has attracted since its launch there will be quite a few wii owners who would never heard or even played RE0!

It's looking like a Japan-only deal anyway.

Good. They can keep the fucker.

I call bollocks on that one, Capcom are just testing the waters to see how the reaction will be so they can make enough copies of the games to satisfy demand, remember that Resi 4 was hard to get hold of at first because the demand was greater than Capcom had anticipated. Not only that but Europe is the biggest market for Resi games so it would seem mad not to release it here. I bet it will be out worldwide by the end of the year, with a port of Resi 1 to follow.

What's all the fuss about? Capcom need the money to make games like RE4 and Okami, and if this is how they get it then fair play to them. I don't have a problem with it.

I dont think they are struggling for cash. It's an odd game to port as it was originally not very good and people are asking why didnt they choose a different one.

No sir! I want my Resi games to look astonishing. Wii can have any left overs and toned down ports with "enhanced" controls later on. Deal?

I always thought RE0 was the worst in the series, weak main characters and dull level design (expect for the RE2 bits).

Lovely graphics mind ;)

Spot on that man.

Also, arriving at the labs from Resi 2 only to be told, 'there's no need to search here.' was infuriating. Especially when SPOILARS

Enrico appears and says the Umbrella mansion is somewhere nearby - no it fucking isn't! We've gone from a speeding train in the middle of nowhere, through a mansion/underground catacomb system, come back to the Umbrella lab under Raccoon City and now you're telling me...grrr.

So yeah, it annoyed me a bit. If they want to port it, fine.

RE4 is the only one so far isn't it?

They are better.

They are not that much better though to make me prefer the game over any other version with superior graphics and sound, if it ever came down to this for the next RE game.

Either way, I feel Okami for Wii will be a much more substantial port, control wise, than RE4 ever was.
