Time to kick this off I think, I cannae be the only toffee around here.

So tonight.

The boys did give it there heart. yak seemed to be getting no luck at all. Good to see Johnson getting another, even if it was again a little unconventional.

So time to concentrate on our deserved 4th place.

I'm not an everton fan, but think it's great to see a club stick with a half-decent manager, even through a couple of sticky seasons, when most prem clubs would have sacked him. I hope you get some real success over the next few years so that you stand out as an example to other clubs, showing that sacking the manager after a bad run of games, or even a bad season, isn't the best thing to do.

If my club (man city) can't going to break into the top 4, then I hope you guys do instead.

Yeah, credit to Kenwright for first picking Moyes and then standing by his man. I read an interesting article last week that compared the team that played in Walter Smith's last game to the current first ix and it really hit home the progress made these last six years. Here's hoping next season will see new additions to the trophy cabinet.

Dear lord how things have changed since then. I was almost becoming optimistic about Everton last season and now the grey clouds have returned. Come on you blues, I guess.

Really?

Dunno which Blackburn will turn up, but I spoke to a Blue earlier and he said that you would be struggling to put a team out (after your sales and all your injuries).

Putting the gloom aside Everton still have one of the best defenses in the league and Yakubu and Arteta. Of course the main problem is centre mid; the choice appears to be out of Neville, Jagielka and a couple of kids.

I'd go with the kids.

jags is centre back though and through.

mid is neville, arteta, cahill and someone else

Cahill's injured and Vaughan has played about 20 minutes in preseason so I think it'll be a five man midfield with Yakubu as a lone striker.

I reckon the team could be:

Howard

Valente Yobo Jagielka Lescott

Arteta Gosling Neville Osman Baines

Yakubu

Subs: loads of kids I've never heard of.

Hadn't seen this thread before, but good to see a few more blues on here.

Also chuffed that the summer wait for footy is finally over.

I do think we'll struggle this season, unless we sign some quality and fast, but I'm optimistic we can take 3 points off Blackburn.

So, we're signing Saha from Man U, subject to medical!

Great signing for Moyesy, assuming Saha can get and stay fit, should be good for a few goals and put some pressure on Anichebe and Vaughan.

Just need a midfield now.
