I thought the newest episode was pretty good with the storyline clicking into place, but there does seem to be a bit of a lack of direction this season.

The character that really does annoy me is Pete's wife who is just startlingly 2-dimensional.

Just watched episode five. It's better. Still not the quality of the first season, but it's good.

I hated that woman that Don's banging until she stayed with Peggy. Their scenes were great, I thought.

But did Don really grab that woman's cunt in one the episodes, or was it a drug-infused hallucination? Seemed a bit out of character to me.

Harry needs more screen-time. I thought his scenes at the end of last season were beautiful.

Yeah I think he did

grab her

. I wasn't really sure what he was doing at the time. I'd agree this season seems a less focussed than the first. It is certainly a slower pace. After 5 episodes not much has really happened.

The only major plot point really was the airline account. There have been plenty of other smaller ones but they are only progessing very slowly. The flashbacks about Peggy's baby are being particularly dragged out. I really want them to get back into the office politics again.

I've just finished watching the latest episode and it does seem like things are being a bit too drawn out, everything seems far more unfocused this time around with more like stand alone eps rather than a big story arc. imo it seems like they don't want to concentrate on anyone in particular too much which leaves less time for everyone overall

Yeah the last episode was great, Sal is a very interesting character and the whole extended story leading off from the

painting

was very funny.

One thing that really annoyed me was when Don threw his drink away at the picnic and then they just left all their litter all over the park. I know it as one of those "look how attitudes changed" moments but it still really irked me.

Me too, actually!

This weeks was when it really felt like the earlier episodes' stories all came to a head and it got a lot more interesting. You're right though it as a great ending.

In a way I'm saddened by Don and Betty's problems. He really did have an almost idyllic home life. She played the emotionally distraught wife part really well in this episode. Joan's plight was a nice aside too. His obliviousness to how he upset her was just what you'd expect, as was her stilted attempt to cover it up.

Can anyone remember the name of the artist who painted the print Bert has on his wall? The red splodgy one. It was a side-story in an episode. I loved it, but now I've deleted the episode and can't remember.

Also, while I was trying to Google it: http://twitter.com/bertram_cooper

Hm. Is that official advertising? Because it's odd. Guys in the 60s... texting their statuses to the internet...

Anyone seen the new ep yet?

You could tell something was going to happen with the way the previous ep ended but

where did Don calling home come from?? It just seemed to come out of nowhere to me...and also who are those people he's crashing with? I didn't really get that...am I stupid? :) Oh and Duck's character's really progressing now too!

How cool did Don look when he put on his shades when getting in the white car?

I liked again the contrast between Don and Pete. Such as when Pete tried to introduce himself when Don first met Joy, and when he his luck at the pool by dropping his papers but getting nowhere.
