Good final. I didn't mind who won out of Lee and Claire, but I think Lee "needed" it more. Claire will do just fine.

Alex did surprisingly well, considering he's been useless in so many tasks. Helene was bloody painfully awful, though, particularly on day one.

I heard that the tasks were carried out ages ago, but the boardroom section was live...?

I don't see how the boardroom section can't be live the way it's edited and everything, the 'you're fired' show is probably live though

As for the result, I'm watching through the shows on iplayer now (up to You're Hired now) and I thought Claire deserved it a bit more, she really did seem to step back in the final task but maybe it was just the editing

Id like to know how long it is from doing a task, to sitting in the boardroom, were it to be a reasonable length of time between the two then recollections of what happened in the task would be more hazy. If the boardroom section is also in the past, Im amazed that details arent leaked. (I know someone earlier in this thread apparently gave away the winner weeks before it was on TV, was this confirmed?)

That's how it was done last year - the audience of You're Fired watches the final show beforehand.

Final task - very interesting, particularly the comment about Dual being so unique and amazing to have created it in 3 days. Both brands looked good to me, but this wasn't Scratch & Sniff TV so we'll have to take Sir Alan's word on what they smelled like.

Alex & Helene didn't work well as a team, and couldn't even point to the idea as being wholly theirs. They deserved to go first.

It was a close run thing between Lee & Claire, and in many ways a repeat of last year's choice for Sir Alan - the unpolished gem (Lee this year, Simon last year) versus the strong, confident woman (Claire/Kristina). And he made the same choice in the end. I feel Claire was a little unlucky, but good luck to Lee.

Great stuff - happy with Lee wining as he seemed to be a genuinly nice guy, pretty much backed up by the other candidates too.

Shame to see Lucinda having a pop at Helene on "You're Fired!", after her bleeding heart routine she showed herself to lack a bit of class there - everyone who watched the show could see that Helene was out of order to Lucinda during the tasks they highlighted, but she just couldn't resist.

I always thought she was a useless cow anyway, can't work a computer - can't work a digital camera. Like I said earlier in the series - was she expecting a job in the 1920's? Probably wouldn't be able to operate the time machine anway.

If Amstrad are based in Essex, why do they keep showing shots of glamorous London? It's got to be a comedown to go from flying around London in a helicopter to actually going to work in some office in Essex.

Tasks are done months ago, Lee found out he won at the beginning of this week (I think - might have been the end of last week) and Your Fired is done a couple of days before.

Just caught up on iPlayer - was a bit of a surprise, thought that Claire would win it. I love the fact this episode totally revealed when Lee strolled out of the office that Sir Alan doesn't have any offices at all in Canary Wharf, but has one in dreary ol' Brentwood.
