Nah, they're just curiosity buys. I have a few other games like this, virtual boy games etc. It's nice to see what these games are like in the flesh even if you don't get to play them.

Fair enough! However the convertor released by Tototek that allows them to be played on a Megadrive or there is one for the Master System!

Might cure the curiosity! :)

I don't even know what a mark 3 is...

Cheers, I'll look into it. I almost bought a Mark III the other day too but I'm not sure how hard it would be to get working over here. It ended on about £50 which was outside my tight arse budget too.

No photos this weekend but I picked up another MGS, jedi academy and kotor II on PC, a few gameboy pokemon games. An atari lynx (which I can't get working) and game (chips challenge I think)

Best comedy find of the boot was a sealed Luigi figure but not like any other luigi figure, this was:

I bought a HUGE pile of dvd's and boxsets off one seller yesterday and when I asked the lady to price them up she said 'we want 8 pounds for the boxsets' - I said that was too dear for me...

She then knocked the price down to 7, it was only then I realised that she was giving me a price for all of them, not an individual price ;)

I love/hate that moment when you ask "How much for the games?" and they reply "£3". What do you do at this point? reply with "the lot?" or go "yeah, I'll take them". Both can lead to problems or embarassment.

"how much for the games"

"£3"

"?"

"each"

so you start going through them, and the first one you pull out, it's:

"except that one, that one's a fiver"

;)

:P I've had that before too. "games are £3 each". I pick up 3, "how much for the 3?". "£12". "What? you said they were £3 each". "Apart from the 3 you've got which are £4 each"

Also I forgot to mention that I picked up a sweet oldschool Marantz pm493 av amp for £7. It's got composhit inputs and output as well as audio obviously. Worked a treat and sounds quite nice too. Perfect for the retro setup.

Yeah, that's classic bootsale seller work! I had the same at a boot sale I went to on holiday last week. Big pile of 360 games on the table and a note that said 'Some games £10 and some games £5!' Surprisingly, all the games I quite fancied were all £10!

Speaking of mid-week bootsales, does anyone here go to them? I don't, normally, as I'm at work but went to two when down in Cornwall last week. They were absolutely crawling with traders who were fighting each other for some awful games. The first row was where all their stalls were and it was interesting to see the tables piled high with FIFA games and anything decent had crazy prices, such as Mario Kart on the GC for £20!!

There used to be a lunchtime midweek boot litterally a mile from where I work. I went a few times but all I ever saw was a beaten up dreamcast for £20. It stopped running weeks later as only about 5 cars were turning up.

Were you on holiday in Cornwall or working?

My crown jewels would be roasting on an open fire if I did that while on Holiday.

We even go past quite a big boot on the way to the in-laws and I've never once been allowed to stop and have a look.

I picked up a few things today at a lunchtime car boot;

Street Fighter Alpha 2 snes cart £1.50

Slimline silver ps2 £10

MD master system convertor £2

Digimon World ps1 £1

Ronin Blade and RE 3 Nemesis ps1 50p each

On a side note, any leeds based booters fancy car pooling for any of the farther afield winter boots (York, Dewsbury etc) PM me as all my locals are closing up and I never want the booting to end :P

Dracular Unleashed is one of the more rare MCD games. good find.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that the guy had a cdx and dracula unleashed. Never seen a copy of dracula unleashed in the wild before.

I'm getting quite a nice Mega cd collection together now. Anyone know how many PAL games were released. I must have about 30 now.
