Got this this morning for £6.

shiveringisles001.jpg

Never even knew this got a physical release, at least on the 360. Mind you after spending over 100 hours on Oblivion, I've been debating whether or not to download Shivering Isles, but the cost put me off. For £6, though, I'm well chuffed.

Now I've just got to wait for MS to return to me my 360 after it RROD last week.

Good day for me today, quality rather than quantity for a change.

Yoshis Island £1.50

Secret of Mana £1 (In amongst a big box of dross pads and cables, couldn't believe my luck and bit their hand off)

Super Metroid £1.10 (haggled down from £1.50 lol)

Remember this day, it will be a day you look back on, it will be a day you tell the grandchildren about.

Good find. ;)

First booty for me in awhile and man, glad I went in today. We decided to take it slow as the one we normally go to was huuuge today (took just over 4 hours to get round, wife / friend / baby it all takes time). Cracking finds for me.

Unboxed 'woody' atari (I FINALLY HAVE ONE !!!!11), 6 games - all unboxed but with 2x joysticks and the wheel controller - 6quid - wanted 12 but I managed to talk him down. Games nothing great, your standard ones - combat / bowling / tennis / space invaders / soccer / basketball

6 Big box games - Grand Prix 2, Worms Amargeddon, Primal Rage, Rally sport, C&C RA, PGA Golf - 1quid

6 DVD box games - Deux Ex, Children of the nile and expansion, Gangsters, Divine Divinity (it any good, looks good?), Starcraft and Army Men.- 1quid

Star Wars Tie Fighter - Big Box - Immeculate condition - 50p

Wife picked up loads of baby toys which I won't bore you with, as we're really only here to talk retro/gaming ;)

I passed two tables, im thinking I should have gone back. One had a big box of not just the tape cases but the big cardboard cases of ZX games, and another had C64 games. I own neither console anymore but I now feel I should have picked them up.. ah well..

I'm off to save the galaxy from those sideways moving alien buggers......

ATARI .... yay

(next mission, find a boxed one)

A fun story from sunday!

I bougtht a boxed megadrive, saturn virtua cop light gun set and a boxed saturn for 10 quid. Not the best price in the world but I fancied playing Virtua Cop.

Anyway when I picked up the wheel it felt quite heavy but I didn't think anything of it. I wasn't particularly bothered about looking at it so I didn't. To be honest I intended to just put it on freecycle or something.

It wasn't until my girlfriend held it and said it was too heavy for a wheel that I actually thought to have a look.

and there were lots of games inside like nights into dreams, loaded, panzer dragoon, exhumed etc :) :)

Ace find on the snes last week - was it car boot grab or a leisurely stall browsing find? I love it when you can relex and casually walk round and find things rather than hassling every car that pulls up!

I assume you went to BR? I went to the airport car boot myself - found a few things but its all such hard work with all the other games hunters out there now!

It was on my second time around, they must have been taking their time getting stuff out of the car, but yeah it was BR there don't seem to be many traders there any more as I havnt seen anyone pulling stuff out of cars before the owners do! like last year lol

The traders that do this deserve to have their skulls caved in with hammers.

I can't believe the sellers just stand there and allow this. I would go funking mental at this. I saw a disgraceful sight, a 4x4 filled with boxes of records pulled in, the guy wasn't even out the front cab and people were going through the boxes, pushes each other out the way. I was shocked to see it...

I've missed out quite a bit recently due to people barging in and grabbing stuff. I simply won't do it. No matter how much it annoys me i'm not going to join them just to get the booty.

This. I don't even like asking people if they have games for sale as they start to unload their wares as its rude and annoying!

Good day today

DSCN2334.jpg

Dreamcast: Giant Killers & NFL Blitz £3 for both

PS2: Network Access Disk £1

PS1: Rascal £1, Steel Harbinger, Gekido £2 each

SNES: Prince of Persia (US) £1.50, U.N. Squadron £1

DSCN2330.jpg

Boxed Dreamcast, Controller and Memory £5

DSCN2329.jpg

Atari/Intellivision Games £5

DSCN2332.jpg

And todays star find was four boxes of games for various systems. I haven't started sorting yet but from a quick look there are games for C64, Vic 20, Spectrum, Dragon 32, Atari 400/800, BBC and even a couple of MSX. I am assuming the chap who was selling them used to be a trader many years ago as one box (bottom left) has quite a few duplicates. Not sure how many in total, there must be at least 200 in the box front right. £10 the lot

Is that Afterburner the Spectrum version? If so, it should come with a sticker. I have it stuck to my record player in front of me. It's nice.

It's the MSX version and yes it has the sticker still on its backing paper along with the poster and the manual. I too had (and still have) the spectrum version, I stuck my sticker onto my computer desk and then took the game back demanding a replacement just so I could have a copy with a unpeeled sticker.

I thought I was so cool B) , but then again I was only 15 :) .

The dark forces II is minty mint as are the other 3 actually.

Is that a re-issue or foreign version? Just wondering as the box art (which is really really awful btw) is completely different to my copy, which I bought on release day (for shame!).

I seem to recall the 'Star Wars' banner down the left side appearing on games around the time they released the first SW RTS.

Only just read this, that's unbelievable! I always wanted a Saturn, to find that lot for £10 is amazing.

I wandered along to our local boot yesterday morning, not much to get excited about. A few PSOnes and some terrible PS2 games here and there.

Anyway I managed to get these for a fiver off a young boy selling his collection:

Photo-0060.jpg

MGS 2 is missing the booklet but the disc's in pretty good condition. MGS3 is pretty mint, shame it's not Subsistance though :)

Holy good gravy - that's a bargain and a half. You can buy replacement remotes from Turbosat for about a tenner, I think.

I love my Toppy, custom patch the firmware and put MyStuff on there and it's God's Own PVR. ;)
