I've never seen one before, no-one has, but I'm guessing it's a White Hole*.

*Pencil case.

I assumed it was a pencil case but all the stuff on the left is a big weird. I can now see it say pencil case on the white strip on the left.

Ummmm, what is it?

It is indeed a pencil case. The various buttons on it all serve a purpose. For example push the green button and a pencil sharpener pops up. Press the yellow button and you will find a secret drawer. Amazing stuff!

You spent £200 at a car boot sale? WHAT?

Yes I must admit I spent alot on sunday. I did buy a few high value items though like a ds lite for £40 and £25 for 4 games (2 ds and 2 wii) alongside quite a few other things like 2 snes's for £10 each.

I have a tendency to get carried away and I am starting to think I am obsessed with car boot sales generally :(:(

I'm much more reserved than I used to be, I think. The pile of games in the "to be sorted" pile is at about 80 now so the wife might disagree.

I've never spent £200 in one go though. My top has been about £80 I think.

That suprises me, I thought you'd have had some major three figures spends some weekends! Maybe its just me that goes a bit mental then...

I used to get through about £100 per week in the summer, i did visit about 3 boot sales per weekend, it always felt like a morning well spent if i got home with a full car. Explaining the cost/huge pile of games and consoles to the missus is a fine art.

I just leave mine in the boot and stealthily move it in bit by bit during the week.

As per usual, Scottish boot sales suck, but I actually managed to buy some stuff last weekend (nothing too special mind)

Xbox 360 Arcade pack disc - was sealed til I realised it had Pacman CE!!! for a quid

360 Rainbox6 Vegas - £3

Pokemon 'record' bag + Studio Ghibli DVD - £5

DS case with Mario on it - 50p

Broken Sword Ps1 - £1.50 (fancied playing it)

Some Koei ps2 game that turns out to be fairly badly scratched £1.70

Saw Snake Eater but the guy wanted 7 quid

For the little one, obviously

MGS2: substance and dicworld II were from a trader for £4 who was bragging about picking up a boxed mario allstars SNES (which was nice to be fair) for £20:

I also picked up a gamecube with 3 controllers, mario golf (in picture), an old PS2 with 2 memory cards all with leads for £15 all in.

Just the one gaming buy for me this morning...

A mint boxed rubber key 48k spectrum with all polystyrene inserts, bags and a small selection of tapes for the princely sum of £6 - Best part was I beat a trader to it by 10 seconds.

"How much are you wanting for the spectrum?" the trader said over my shoulder as I was rummaging through the box.

"Six pounds eh? I'll take it!" I said loudly.

:(

I'll post pics later on.

Good to hear a spectrum will be going to a good home and not to a trader who would tout it for exuberant prices on Ebay.

Remember kids "A spectrum is not just for Christmas" (xmas 1982 that is)

I got a minty mint (but unboxed) fully working Atari 800XL and tape deck, with all the manuals, around 20 tapes, Pac-man on cartridge, and three years of Atari User magazine (right from the first issue - all in good condition) for a tenner. It even came in a reasonably decent sports bag that the guy threw in for free :(

Also got Halo and Halo 2 for £1.50 each.

Picked up a dreamcast (going to see if works this evening) with 5 games (sonic, crazy taxi, ready to rumble, fishing and a basket ball one, name escapes me at the moment and i'm no where near it). Has 3 controllers, 2 with VMU's and also a gun. All looked in good nick. 4.50

Also picked up Dark Reign and Expansion (big box, good nick) for 1.50

Not much in the way of finds this w/e. We tried getting to our biggest one for 6:45 to see if we missed any deals and tbh nothing really seems different from getting there at 8am, other than the sun was bearable for a few hours before we whilted.

Still a few pieces to find, hopefully some atari games to expand my find from a fortnight ago.

To be honest, I'm getting a little disillusioned with car boots at the moment. It kinda seems pointless when traders are buying up everything at 6am and trying to flog it on at ridiculous prices. This morning I had some woman tell me a Tomita album was worth a tenner, and another trader tell me F-Zero on the SNES was really rare so he needed at least £15 for it. It's just starting to wind me up, because if I'd been able to get into the boot early before the doors open like those sods can, then I would have got those things for a few quid.

My locals seem to be suffering with traderitis. The amount of idiots i see buying up games on mass just flog on for a couple of quid more beggers belief. I laugh at the prices they charge or the typical line ' i can get this much for it on eby'

Well bloody well sell it on there you tit cause i ain't paying what your charging
