Um, hold on. This 'they ran out of material after 6 episodes' thing sounds suspect since I've heard the Conchords perform loads more material. And the single best episode is the tour one and that's in the final six. And the Sally Returns is in the first six and that's weaker.

I don't quite get the whole 'second half of the series is rubbish' thing, either. The episode where they do acid is in the second half, I think, and that's probably my favourite. The one where they go on tour is brilliant as well. I think there's one episode that's a bit duff, but that's it.

The last episode is also ace, my favourite bit being the 20 second fight with Todd.

I love the "No Dumping" sign in the background when Sally's dumping him. Very subtle.

It's about as subtle as a kick up the arse, but it's nice.

"In space, Bret... in space. Yes, it is quite freaky, isn't it, Bret?"

I don't like Bret's character as the series goes on. I found the episode where he didn't want to have sex terrible.

I was warned off the second half aswell so it seems it's a bit marmite at least. Good to know it's not universally disappointing though, I've only seen 3-4 episodes.

The DVD is out now in shops to purchase!

I keep putting on the YouTube collections in the background and giggling as I work - I love Bowie, that goes without saying. For ultimate giggles though, has to be "Bret You Got It Going On" - it's genius! Oh, and Jermaine robo-talking at that live HBO performance they did a while back. I am eagerly waiting more from them, though the non-show tunes I've heard on the YouTubes are very promising...

Loved it, so did my brother after I bought it him for Christmas.

I watched that episode on the way home, I'd forgotten how much gold it had in it.

Consistent LOLs throughout. Practically all of Murray's bits are amazing. ("Hey, Ginger Balls! On your way to a dick meeting?")

I love the bit with Dave trying to disown his parents.

There's an on-stage version of 'Albi the Racist Dragon' on YouTube; Jermaine's delivery of "In a cottage cheese cottage?" always makes me giggle.

Also also, check out Demitri Martin's (the gitboard keytar player in the Crazy Dogs episode) standup on youtube.

I'm a bit worried about a second series, unless they've been feverishly writing loads of new songs.
