Yeh it's really hard in the Act 2 boss battle as it start off with

Frogs in caution mode against you, and if they see you it's Alert, unlike when fighting the Frogs in Act 1. So I'm currently hiding and charging up the Mk.II to to sneak up and electrocute them all!

 Not sure if it'll work though...

As soon as that section started I darted under the bed and tranqed anyone that came through the doorway

Easy peasy.

I got through the first 3 acts without being seen on Big Boss hard.

Also for the [act 4]

Crying Wold figt I just hid under the lorry and sniped from there. She comes into view every now and again

You were using the D-pad to sneak rather than the analogue stick, weren't you? (That was a strange bit of design - I assume they've removed it for MGS4 given that no-one's complained about it?)

In all honesty no, more of it is down to my stupidity in placing myself in the wrong place which led to me being discovered and also due to my impatience sometimes, not good for a stealth game :)

I definitely want to replay MGS4 but I'm going to mop up a few other games I have left to do such as Ninja Gaiden 2 and Lego Indiana Jones and then maybe even replay 2 and then 4.

The documentary being on a blue ray...will that make it very unlikely that we'll be able to find it online?

Is it called Metal Gear Solid Saga 2? That's already out there, but that's a dvd I think. The one that came with the MGS pre order and MGO beta key in the US.

edit- yeah that's the older one. The documentary isn't on the usual places anywhere from what I can see.

Some of the best 20 hours I ever spend with a game.

One question regarding Act 5 and I'd better put it in spoiler tags I guess.

When the mission begins on the ship, has anyone managed to get to the door without being spotted at all? I had some major shooting going on here and ended up facing around 5 Geckos before I finally managed to press triangle on the door and get further into the ship. There's probably a way to not engage in fighting at all before getting in that door at the start of that mission, but I can't figure it out.

I've just done act one without any kills/alerts, but being the precious type my mind is racing ahead to the fourth act - I know it's an unmanned kill, but those bastard

mini gekkos

are a pain to avoid getting alerts. I only found 2 chaff grenades in the entire game - there must be more of these somewhere, right?

I can't imagine it will be too big an issue; surely someone could just capture the footage and audio in real time.

I've only watched the first part of the documentary so far, mainly because the narrator's voice annoys me. I'll be sure to go back to it at some point.

Quick question - anyone know if anything is cut or changed if you play the game on easy, compared to the normal?

not that I am aware of.

Metal gear games generally don't behave like that.

You usually find that something on easy will have "inifinte" power but will need batteries on normal or above.

Or if you have to kill 30 enemies on normal it will be 10 on easy, etc.

Is there a plot clash here in the game? A character says that no one knows what happened on Shadow Moses because the DARPA chief and president of Armstech were killed, and the Secretary of Defence arrested during MGS1. But in MGS2 Shadow Moses is well known and Natasha from the first game is supposed to have written a best selling expose about what happened there, right?

Start of Act 4

Fuck me, thats got me freaked out, I cant believe how much I remember of the first metal gear and the and the map layout. I instant;y recognised the corridor where you see all the dead bodies and meat the ninja for the first time. Was cool still seeing the marks on the wall from the sword.

Also nice touch with having to do the helipad section again in the old PS1 graphics and it just being a dream for snake :

Aye, In The Darkness of Shadow Moses.

But it was dismissed as fiction by the US Government and probably promptly buried during the Patriots culling of information-flow.

Just finished. Amazing.

Ending spoiler:

When Big Boss's name first scrolled up in the credits I sat there trying to remember if the vegetable body let out any sort of death cry in the fire :)

The reveal was epic. He looked like such a badass. Why couldn't Old Snake look like that. Was I the only one wearing the Young Snake w/ Bandana camo for the majority of the game?
