Guys, where's the best place to import a DS3 for the PS3?

Also, will there be any compatability problems if i import?

Think i need one for this game

I got mine from Yes Asia - it took a week from ordering to arrive and there are no compatibility problems whatsoever, £30. Ebay might be faster though.

As for Chaff, I guess I'll check Drebin frequently and then hoard like a motherfucker as I've never seen them for sale...

Is there a plot clash here in the game? A character says that no one knows what happened on Shadow Moses because the DARPA chief and president of Armstech were killed, and the Secretary of Defence arrested during MGS1. But in MGS2 Shadow Moses is well known and Natasha from the first game is supposed to have written a best selling expose about what happened there, right?

It's something to do with the nanomachines :)

Finished it last night. However it was late and I found the ending a little boring

(doesn't anyone think it was like LOTR: ROTK in the sense that it just goes on and on about everyones story before a big bye bye!)

so I fell asleep and paused it to finish the last cutscene off today. It definately wasn't 90 minutes.

Oh and to the noobs who couldn't do the first bit of Act 5 without being spotted, it's the easiest bit in the game to not get seen!

Camo and face camo = 99% camo on most of the floor, just crawl around + silenced weapon for Frogs and Charged Railgun if any Gekko get in your way. Piss easy. Did it first time

When I finished I was shocked to have a playtime of 37 HOURS I'm pretty sure I didn't play it that long. That's how long it took me to finish GTA4! And I spent two weeks playing that. Does the game timer still run while you have the game paused? Because I left it paused for up to six hours at a time on two occasions.

In the Extras menu there is the option to enter a password. What is that password? I suspect it might be the one Otacon asks you to input in Act 4, but when he asked me at that time I'd forgotten it, so he entered it himself. And I still can't remember it. D'oh.

Oh, and why isn't there an option to watch the cutscenes after completing the game. I want to watch Raiden kick Gekko and Vamp ass in Act 2 again!

They're saving that feature for the 360 version.

On a more serious note, I think all the praise in this thread will tip me into finally buying a PS3. Well, this and the new Wipeout(s). Anyone know where I can get a US 60GB PS3 in the UK?

I just watched the fight scene last night, it is really awesome.

The cut scenes are mega long but I'm enjoying them and looking forward to the next one when every I'm playing. Will be starting Act 3 tonight when I get home from work. Can't wait!

With a little bit of difficulty I'd imagine - well, difficulty in finding one not at silly prices. They do seem to go for stupid amounts on eBay at the moment.

Check the loot website , there was one on sale on there for about £275 before the weekend, bargain!

So game of the year then? or best game ever for anyone, looking forward to getting this next week.

I liked GTA4 and finished it. But this beats it as I am sure in 10+ years I will still remember moments in it like I do with MGS1. There isn't any other series where 'being the final chapter' is a big deal. Imagine if they did it with Tombraider, splintercell, hitman...or whatever...and it referenced the old games in the same way MGS4 did. Would anyone give a crap? I'd say since MGS1 there hasn't been a new heavily based story based action game since that comes anywhere close to the level of production and creativity of the MGS series. RE is the closest but it's story is nowhere near as complex or epic.

So, I'd say it will be at least another decade before we see another new high quality series build up to a point where we have, like MGS4, a 'final' game that perfectly ends a series that is as good or better than the MGS series.

So yeah, if I had to choose I would give this game of the year. Of course it will more likely be GTA4 officially...

It's probably because you'd need to install the new section of game data for each respective act to watch the cut scenes since they're done real time.

Fucking loving this. Capone totally hit the nail on the head when he said it was a 'experience'. As cheesy as it sounds, it's an experience unlike no other.

And yeah, I've finished Act 3 and it's my game of the year so far (Well, apart from Rock Band). I'd go far and say it's the best MGS game in the series.

This must be the only game I can think of where I'm really loving the cut scenes. The end of Act 3 was superb. Can't wait to get home and play Act 4.

Can someone who has finished the game answer this:

I'm a bit confused to how Big Boss is alive and well. I know the body that Liquid burned was Solidus, but I remember something about Snake and Liquid's DNA shit doing something- did that make another Big Boss clone? It seemed like he was the original but snake killed the original in the Metal Gear games.

I'm mucho confused.

Also was it definately Drebin who injected the new foxdie? What was it's purpose- and he did it under the command of the patriots? When he denied it in Act 2 I believed him
