GTA:IV preorders, shipping, shop dates, times etc

Another with a shipped email form Gameplay this morning and the order status showing as Complete.

I'd like it to come on mon / tues, but I'm more concerned about where my copy of Cabela's African Safari has got to that Shopto posted out to me early this week.

I wanna shoot some zebra's n giraffe's in the head asap damnit.

Had an email from Game stating that my GTAIV Special Ed shipped today. Checking my tracking details on their site it states that it was collected by parcelforce yesterday afternoon, so i'm kinda expecting it Monday.

Where did you get the tracking number from? All I have is the order number from Game and when I use their site it just lists that is has been dispatched.

When you go into your "order history" it should tell you there the delivery method used and they have a chart in the help section detailing the delivery times, so express is 1 day and normal or whatever is 2 days.

I have shipping : free delievery in my order record for this. I am guessing no tracking then for my delievery. Will have to take pot luck on Tuesday.

That's what my money is on. I read on another forum that Royal Mail are collecting them, but won't be sending out untill Monday.

Ive had 2 or 3 pre-orders from game before and they always came the day before and always shipped hem when they shipped them.

Royal Mail will get them today and start transporting them to the depots today then on monday your local postman will pick it up because they sent them all early this morning so they should hopefully fingers crossed i hope to fuck get here on monday :)

I also think theres an option to get express express delivery for a few quid when you buy where it sends via parcel force, or mabye just the special editions.

You can only track Special Delivery's.

Recorded Delivery goes with all the other mail the only difference being it needs a signature at the other end.

So the special editions will come via standard post then? Obviously not with postie but on a Post Office van. Makes sense now.

My wife picked up Wii Fit from Gamestation Walsall today (they had plenty of stock by the way) and asked about GTA4. The guy said they've been allocated a more than they expected. Opening at 8am on Tueday the guy said, if you were there you'd have no problem picking one up.

I spoke to the Dundee gamestation manager today. As long as it's the 360 version you are after they will have more than enough after pre orders have been satisfied at their midnight launch. He mentioned "around 200" copies going on general sale.

Ours all arrived into work today. I was literally cradling a package containing 20+ copies of GTA IV. I was seriously considering carrying the package out of the front door, leaving the shop, and skipping all the way home in the sunshine.

Sure, I'd later have to deal with the loss of my job and possible legal action, but at the time it felt like a very real choice.
