Ours all arrived into work today. I was literally cradling a package containing 20+ copies of GTA IV. I was seriously considering carrying the package out of the front door, leaving the shop, and skipping all the way home in the sunshine.

Sure, I'd later have to deal with the loss of my job and possible legal action, but at the time it felt like a very real choice.

I've taken solace in playing it in the staff room for the last two days.

That's pretty good. If Tesco follow suit and price the PS3 version at £40 I might skip the midnight opening at GAME (rumoured to be £50!) and get it from Tesco's in the morning. No ASDAs close enough near me.

So, having received the "order posted, you can't cancel any more" email from Gameplay yesterday, I went into work this morning half hoping to see that GTA had turned up. Always get things posted to work as I'm never at home when the postie turns up.

Anyway, walking past the large plate glass window to the office I see, sat on my colleague's desk with the rest of the morning's mail, a Gameplay jiffy bag containing GTA IV!

Fucking brilliant! Gameplay are fucking brilliant! Thanks to them I'm playing GTA IV all weekend. Life is good. :D

Only, I reach the desk, grab the packet, notice the label isn't a typical Gameplay label and suddenly there's that sinking feeling. That sinking feeling which quickly turns to despair on opening the bag to find a sheaf of GTA IV DVD box sized leaflets.

Yet another quality practical joke played on me by life in general. I simply just can't wait for the next.

Has anyone ever gotten a game from ASDA at midnight on day of release? I'm guessing they are allowed to sell it then yeah?

Yeah I phoned up today and she told me they will be selling it a minute past midnight.

They'll probably put them out at about 11:45PM going by past midnight game openings in supermarkets.

If they do do a proper 12:00 unveiling, expect very little fanfare. At best there might be a 70 year old store assistant counting down the final 10 seconds, stopping after each number to catch his breath.

I got a shipping notice from Game this morning but I can't get the tracking page to give me any info at all. In Firefox the track button does nothing and in IE it gives a javascript error at the bottom of the page. I certainly don't have a royal mail tracking number yet.

In Firefox, copy the tracking number, then go to the left hand side and click on order tracking. Paste the number in now and your surname and it'll work, the info is displayed below the input form.

All that gives me is the info I could get easily just by logging into my account.

You wont get a RM tracking number unless it's a Special Delivery and then only when it's on the system.
