I just ordered an Xbox, Forza 2, PGR4, Viva Pinata and of course GTA IV.

Haven't so much as picked up a joypad in four years, GTAIV is the game to get me back into gaming!

By the way, I bet I paid more for GTAIV than any of you, £53 for the standard edition, and I won't get it until a week after release B)

Well, the only 3D GTA game I've played is Vice City and I thought it was dreadful, but for some reason (I'm an idiot) I've succumbed to the GTA4 hype and bought a fucking 360. Says it's not released till May 2nd though. What's with that? And knowing Play, it'll be another three days before it actually gets here. Ah well.

Yes, I got that email, but someone did ask. I've had my "shipping" notice as well, in the interim, but I;m not expecting the game till tuesday, which is fine as the wife's in all day

Nope. I ordered the PS3 version in March 08 though so would expect yours to go through before mine.

Still showing as:

Dispatch estimate: 28 April 2008

Delivery estimate: 29 April 2008

Received an email from Amazon yesterday stating that the release date has been changed by the supplier (it hasn't, Amazon are just fucking cunts), and my estimated delivery is 7th-14th May!

However, the status is now showing as 'dispatching soon' - surely that means it's about to be posted - today, tomorow at the latest?

Amazon has just changed to dispatching soon, so assuming all goes well with special delivery which I think it almost always does it should arrive on time.

Mine has updated as well! SHIT JUST GOT REAL

Yeah same here for Amazon, though i won't be pre-ordering from them again.

Despite me opting for 1st Class post I suspect it won't be here until Wednesday.

"Dispatching soon" just seems to mean "you can't cancel this order now, tough".

Amazon are quite good with deliveries, unless you choose their shitty super saver option.

Yeh, but dont go changing the delivery options or you go to the back of the queue!

Lookin at my order history Amazon have never missed a release day for me.
