Any Gameplay orders arrived yet? I'm at work.

Gameplay and Game always do this, they did it with Mario Kart as well. They tell you it's dispatched earlier then it really has so you can't cancel your pre-order with them. Sounds like HMV have done it too.

In all emails and correspondance they promised for release day or something- not earlier. Also "dispatched" doesn't necessarily mean royal mail have your game and are delivering it right now so they could probably get away with it. Basically they've made no promise with you, not a binding one anyway.

I had a look over it on Friday and they also say "2-3 days" even with 1st class delivery. So they have you by the short and curlies.

They also sent out that email on monday/tuesday saying they might charge you early due to volume of demand and processing times.

So they are covered. The kents.

My order with Gameconnection has shipped today by first class so, fingers crossed, should have it in the morning. I took a bit of a gamble as I've never ordered with them before but, so far so good. For anyone interested, they still have limited stock available for delivery tomorrow so long as you order before 3.30pm today.

No it's sensible. They have to package up thousands and thousands of the same game, and it saves a lot of hassle if they start processing them all two or three days before dispatch if they have them on hand. If you didn't want the game in the first place don't order it.

I got there 20 minutes early for the midnight of Halo 3, and the queue was already 100 strong. I think half an hour is sensible, and it's what I'll be doing.

In ASDA?! Maybe the ones I've been to are small then.

Grrrr. Game still don't know how much they'll be charging. I've got £45 today and that's it. It better not be more than that. I'll have lots of cash tomorrow when I get paid, but the bank won't give me any cash today.

Its thirty four buff in Asda bargain fans (360 ver). Well, at least thats what the shelf stickers said.

I phoned Asda earlier (one minute past midnight for sale of the game, as expected) but was told it was £37 something on the 360 and £39 something on the PS3.

My so called friends completly fooled me last week with their "early" deliveries of said game

They made a box which looked good from afar, they doctored emails and letters, they even got wives involved...

What really put the icing on the cake was when i got home on Friday to switch on my xbox to check them online I got 3 red lights!!!! Fortunately those nice young kids in game felt my pain and swapped it over to a new box (after trying to fob me off with a preowned one)

Sorry for getting all excited on Friday ... I will never trust anyone again!

Well whats the population with 360s and PS3s who will have a car and be up at that time of night and can afford it?

My order (placed at the beginning of April) from zavvi is also still 'In Progress', but something else I ordered on Friday (Conan) has been dispatched already.

I reckon the chances of GTA arriving from zavvi tomorrow are slim.

Yeah, i'm desperately trying to remain hopeful but it's not looking promising, nothing seems to have moved.

I keep clinging onto this bit of the email they sent out last week...

Your despatch confirmation will be sent to you in an email. To make sure all orders are despatched quickly the confirmation may not be sent until after your order has left the warehouse so please do not panic if you do not receive the despatch confirmation until very late the day before release. All efforts are made to ensure orders leave our warehouse to reach you on the day of release. We unfortunately cannot guarantee the arrival prior to release day.
