Has anyone got an email explicitly stating their delivery would arrive BEFORE Tuesday?

Ok, I don't have much experience of these things. How hard do you think it might be to actually just buy this tomorrow? I'm a little concerned that my Tescos only have 50, but then maybe that's a lot to expect to sell at midnight on a Monday? Would you expect there to be many people there? Surely the type of person that buys this at midnight would have it pre-ordered online or at Game or something? I did but Gameplay fucked up. Essentially, I have no pre-order anywhere, what are my chances of having this tomorrow?

John, you will get it at Tesco's. Get down there at half 11 and you'll be fine. Tomorrow, we'll shoot the breeze in Liberty City.

If it's not moved by 3pm I'll give them a ring. I would ring them now and cancel but Bedminster Asda is scary enough during the day, god only knows what goes on there at midnight.

I'm thinking about going down there myself at midnight as it's round the corner from me. Reading the threads is getting me caught up in the madness. Do the game sections stay open at that sort of time? I've only ever been in there late to buy milk and stuff, I've never noticed.

For anyone looking to head out in search of one tonight, it might be worth giving your local Gamestation a call. I've just been in the Redhill branch, and they've got posters up saying they've had extra stock in that can be reserved for the midnight launch.

Am I right in thinking Parcelforce try two deliveries on consecutive days? No-one's home tomorrow but I'm working from home on Wednesday.

If my experience with them in the past is anything to go by they'll try and deliver, and then fucking lose your parcel. Twice.

Nice one, arranged delivery to go to my work so should not have any problems as such.

Going to try some shops on the way home from work tonight as I have someone who will take it off my hands tomorrow when my online order comes (fingers crossed)

Fuck knows. I staggered over there after a gig at the Louisiana on Saturday night in the hope of getting a copy out of whichever dozy eejit was on the counter but they were closed. I assume they keep the whole lot open though.

Rex baby. What I'm saying is all that the online preorder lot dreaming that this may turn up today, conveniently forgot that they were emailed and told that the companies weren't allowed to deliver before Tuesday because they signed a declaimer to that fact. I'm agreeing you with.

Hold the front page.

Was just wandering through town earlier when I noticed signs in the local HMV (my emporium of choice for GTA goodness) up saying they are opening at midnight. Tonight! That's not what they told me last week. :blink:

A quick check in store and it seems they decided to do this on Friday. So it would seem they have narrowly avoided having a fat bald 32 year old man having what could only be described as a hissy fit at nine tomorrow morning because all their copies are sold.

They could still see someone who should know better having a temper tantrum at midnight tonight, though. Oh why didn't I preorder. The stress. :P

I phoned Asda earlier (one minute past midnight for sale of the game, as expected) but was told it was £37 something on the 360 and £39 something on the PS3.

Strange. When I was in store on Saturday they had it marked on the shelves at £34 on 360 and £39.71 on PS3. Rang my local 24 hour store this morning to check what the craic was for tonight and the woman reserved me one without having to prompt her, she just asked what my name was and said she'd pop it aside for me. Bless.

Well it did seem pretty unreasonable. It's not like it'd be hard to sell my copy if i didn't show up. And if you're asking about it in the first place you're obviously going to show up!
