What did Adrian say ? I can't hear that well.

He started by saying he thought the graphics were really nice and that the game played well and felt right. He said he started gaming back in the days of the Playstation and had used racing games as an aid to learning the tracks for F1.

He talked more about the fact he did a lot of online gaming (racing games) but that he didn't use his real name :) and that there were some guys out there who were really fast.

They asked him if he thought being good in a racing game might translate into being fast in an actual race car and he didn't seem to think that would be the case, although he had raced against some people online who were quicker than he was. That there was no pressure of people watching and he could just have fun.

He also talked about how sim games don't translate the feel of the car, the bumps on the track etc.

He finished by saying he hopes he finishes the F1 season ahead of Schumacher, as Schumacher is only 3 points ahead of him at the minute.

So yeah, he didn't talk much about the game really :)

I'm not dissing the game - it really does look tremendous - but that Spa race....well it doesn't look like the cars are going that fast even when they're going flat out.

Driving Forza's super fast cars on Le Mans gives a far greater sense of speed.

I´ve played this at the Gamescon yesterday, it looks and sounds amazing, I can't really comment on the handling because the demo I played there must have been some kind of arcade mode, it felt good but it didn't feel real (not that I know how a F1 car handles ofcourse)... I hope the game is gonna be great for the sim players as well.

From all I've seen so far this is shaping up really nice and I have high hopes for this one !

Actually, Karzee is right. As impressive looking as the rain effects are, the racing in it feels a bit sluggish and slow. I really prefer racing in regular conditions, when the racing looks properly fast, too. (Though still nowhere as fast as Blur or the upcoming Need for Speed).

Racing in the night on Singapore and Abu Dhabi should be AMAZING though :)

What the fcuk, Hammond?! First you want bloody weather effects in bloody Forza 3 and other racers, finally you'll be getting one with the best weather effects ever seen in the history of racing games, and now you want regular conditions again? I'm telling you...today's youth...*grumble*

Just for your information, when it rains during F1 races, things go slower unless you want plenty of debris for a whole new season of Discovery Channel's Scrapheap Challenge.

And night racing is shit. What does that add, apart from the omission of background detail?

Oh, racing in the wet is brilliant, but it's more something that I like to do occasionally :) For the most part I prefer dry races, especially online, if only for the fact that it'll get really hard for the less experienced players and people will spin off all the time.

Although this kind of scenes does make things pretty interesting when it rains:

In terms of night racing:

But Joe, the track is lit with floodlights so it doesn't make any sense at all, never mind it adding anything. And I'm sure rain will also be occasional in F1 2010 and not all the time. I don't see your point. You have some really weird standards, son.

I've just got myself a new tv that does 3D, i wonder if the game will support it?

nice going Harns ! there wasn´t any mention about the game being in 3D, but it seems no big deal to adjust the game to 3D so who knows if they will still put it in the final game...

Ah right thanks Force, i guess i'll have to wait for F1 2011. I've tried a 3D Motorstorm demo and it really increases the sense of speed i can only imagine F1 being incredible.

GT5 is looking super slick now to the point of making me wonder if i even need this F1 game. I doubt i'll be able to resist buying it though.

It comes out 2 months before GT5, and there will probably be a whole lot of online (rllmuk) action going on in that time :) Join us!

A friend of mine has an 50" Panasonic 3D tv and I've played WipeOut and SuperStardust in 3D, my god both games look totally amazing in 3D and it works great and easy on the eyes!

I've played at Gamescon GranTurismo in 3D as well, but they had a shitty setup at the convention, the 3D wasn't really convincing there but I think that's more the fault of their set up then the game, I cannot wait to check it out on a proper tv set, I think it will look amazing !!

But yes, when done properly 3D will give an amazing extra sensation to racing games, like WipeOut in 3D you really have depth when looking ahead.
