Seriously, this WILL be you:

Or, if you're lucky enough:

I don't think so, buddy. Here's why:

Meerman will have [lots of travel] in his pedal, which is why he won't spin.

Also he rides a bike. and "scientific maths" has proven a pushbike rider makes a good racing driver ;)

That's why I won't spin that easily. Look at that first hands-on video one page back. He's not spinning easily while using the wheel.

And Dim's right about cyclists being good racing drivers; when you're blasting down the Mont Ventoux at 85km/h, you need to be a damn good 'driver' to get around those hairpin bends along the way.

Because i'm thinking I actually won and Meer's is a cheating sod faking his win to appeal to the crowd in some vain attempt at getting a laugh.

 So true.

Apologies if posted.

F1 2010 is easily the best Grand Prix game since Geoff Crammond was on the beat. Its driving is second to none and is brought alive by a dynamic weather system, while its racing is as thrilling as the real thing. It’s an exacting take by a team that clearly understands what makes F1 tick, and while a handful of issues hold it back from challenging Forza and Gran Turismo just yet, for now racing fans can rest assured that the world’s fastest sport is in safe hands.

EA's F1 game featured Monaco.

No shit Watson. Wasn't on the xbox though was it ? As far as I know the F1 license was exclusive to Playstation during the xbox's lifetime.

According to this it wasn't toca 2 either, so I guess Monaco never featured on the xbox to the best of my knowledge. Sorry for the derail, looking forward to all the new tracks especially Monaco, Monza and Valencia.

EA's F1 2002 game was released on Xbox, it even came out for the Gamecube.

Oh we'll see.

WE. WILL. SEE.

Nah I even mentioned xbox 1 to emphasise, anyway case closed nothing to see here.

Is it backwards compatible and worth hunting down ?

With F1 2010 coming out in exactly one week? :)

F1 2001 is but 2002 ain't on the list.

Gamespot gave F1 2001 a score of 8.2 : http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/f12001/review.html

I think Boozy's looking to get some secret practise in before next week.

Going to pick up one of these from Ikea on Saturday:

That should be alright for my 360 wheel, shouldn't it?

nope. that's what i tried to use initially. It's too wobbly. The wheel is too heavy so its prone to tipping over & as someone mentioned it's tough to place the pedals well.

I tried mine yesterday with the xbox wheel and whilst wobbly, it wasn't tooooo bad.

The trick is to turn it round so the wheel fits over the handle hole thing. This balances it out so it doesn't want to fall over, and makes it easier to get the pedals in the right place.
