Yeah, it friking will be with joe doing his shit. At least your a sportman. Joe doesn't care. He plays like some GT4 AI.

If your on his line, your fucked. The only saving grace is he'll damage his front wing, but we all know he can still win without one. He doesn't even need the front wheels. He's like the black knight.

"ah don't fret, i still have an engine!"

I might add Joe sounds much older then he looks. You netherlandrathals vocally age much quicker then pictures would suggest. Must all that salt in ya' sweets :P .

Thats why you can't get angry, you're evoltionarily incapable. Because you can't get your voice high enough.

Bloody hell!

Easy there, Captain Slow. -_-

We're also a foot taller than people from other nationalities. Our balls drop sooner too, hence the low voices.

Thats coz you talk so low. If you talked any lower your voice would be affected by gravity.

:)

Low Sound also carries further underwater so you can see why you've evolved this way. And why your taller.

The Dutch are taller than all of us because they don't get seriously ill when younger (which is known to kill off growth spurts), live a comfy happy upbringing (good for the growth hormones) and drink plenty of milk. Indeed, estimates* show that Holland is responsible for consuming 50% of the world's milk supply.

Still doesn't make them good at racing though :)

I'm free for meerman's forza F1 training academy in about 1.30hr, when are you free sir?

Hmmmm my parents will be over soon...maybe later this afternoon, like 15:30h UK?

I'm on now too, for the time being. I'll let you know when I'm available again.

Will you be imitating that flap thing that goes over the hole in the pedals area? I'm currently using a couple of books for that (Jurassic Park paperback with The Lost World hardbaok on top, literature fans!) and it's far from ideal. Don't have a suitably thin/strong piece of wood either.

Don't let those screens fool you, these are taken at the moments the carbon fibre splinters are all over the place, which is just a split second. The sensation during actual gameplay is less spectacular.

The damage models still look fair enough, but are nothing special.

Yeah, that so sounds like me :) Be careful, or I'll send a load of Shunts up your arse as well. Karzee knows!

And I never realized I sounded older than I am (22) or look (although I'm obviously happy as a child with my copy of F1 2010 ;)). But not being able to get angry? Have you never raced Meerman in Forza, with his endless "GODVERDOMME!!" whenever a bit of his rubbish Datsun fell of? Or me in Blur, when someone ruins my lead with endless Lightning?

Come on McSpeed you jammy early game getting bastard, where's your updates now you've had some time on it?

Not until tomorrow night, dear Meatball. As said, I'm loaded with work so I hardly get around to playing games for myself (since the review for this is due for Friday, I have to do other stuff first).

Will obviously post more impressions right after that :)

Careful now...I'm easily offended. ;)

Joe man, can you be so kind and PM me the exact custom online lobby options as soon as you deem possible? With them, I can continue the planning for our championship.

There's a good lad. :)

I'll do you (and Tyler) one better: I'll take snapshots of all the options, settings and possibilities in terms of online gameplay. Will try to do so over the course of tomorrow night.

One word of advice to everyone who plans to get online with us with this game: READ THE FUCKING MANUAL! There's so much to account for, like the rules for when you're allowed to go full throttle out of the pit lane, that it's highly advisable to know that before getting involved. Just so you know.

Thanks man, that would rock!

Wow, that sounds great! There's a lot more to it than just letting the game do that stuff for you, isn't it?

Sorry I didn't get a chance to say thank you. I was getting shouted at by the mrs. Thanks so much mate, really helpful tips. Time to get the laps in and improve!

You're welcome. :)

Quite an eye-opening session, wasn't it?

To be honest it's mostly a matter of official Formula One rules. Only hardcore F1 fans will know about those - although even I'm pretty hardcore and don't instantly know all about pit lane speeds or the exact rules for tire use in a race.

Which means mostly people like you, Meerman, should pay extra attention to the manual, to prevent "They didn't tell me THAT!" scenes when we're in the heat of battle ;) I trust you will read all the rules with care though, but be sure to mention this in the Online Racing thread for our own F1 championship.

Either way, I'll see if I can post some of the pictures of the various menu's here as well, alongside impressions. So far I've only been able to try the racing itself in earlier demo versions, so now I'm going to check out the endless possibilities as well :)

I just watched the Playr review... genuinely worried now for Friday. I was quite capable with GRID using the analog stick, but apparently it's twitchy as fuck with F1... can McSpeed confirm you can change the sensitivity, or if indeed it is playable without a wheel?
