The first gun kills in two shots with stopping power and is identical to the G3, even the clip size is the same I think.

Which one is that? I've been using the SVT-40, that's a 10 bullet clip and definitely 4 shots to the chest for a kill. The G3 was a 3 shot kill with a 20 bullet clip.

Apologies, I'm wrong about clip size.

They're both 2 shot kills though, with stopping power. And yes, not headshots.

Dogs are easier to deal with than helicopters once you have a handle on how to handle them, I think. Today for example on the Castle map the other team got Dogs and so I just got into a building with a couple of teammates, covering all the doors, and we mowed down all the dogs coming at us. The dogs were all dead within a minute.

The problem is, good players will just follow the dogs to find players, so you can kill 6 dogs and then get killed by a player who followed them in.

I'm getting into this more. I like setting up the BAR with the bipod to create surprise MG nests. The excellent balance of 4 is a bit shot though. In Roundhouse I was in a series of TDM games today where my team just kept grabbing both tanks. Great fun, but the other team had little chance.

Oh and the trench gun is great to use on the outside ring of roundhouse.

I didn't get a beta as frankly I wasn't interested. The last online FPS I played regularly was Halo on the old xbox. I played Team Fortress a few times on the 360 but the lag was really unpleasant throughout much of my experience.

What is the online experience of this generally? I've not played COD4 online yet ;)

Been playing this a bit more and am still not liking it at all.

I've tried the Thompson (SMG) , which feels like the MP5 equivalent but more inaccurate. There is a definite lack of "oomph" in the guns (both the Thompson and the various ones I have picked up). I'm trying the Type99 now which is a little better, but I'm still having to pump an entire clip into some people to bring them down.

I've found it lags badly during artillery strikes.

On the plus side, the party management is better though.

I think this is very good. Just not as good as COD4. Feels like a step back for all the reasons people have already mentioned. It's totally not crap though but I think COD4 is way better.

but.....I'm 100 time BETTER at COD:waw than I am at COD4. :s

I've been playing them both of recent and their so SO similar, even my look sensitivity is set the same but I get raped on COD4 and deliver the rape on COD:waw.

I'm consistently top of the room and don't know why :s
