Yes, but are you not bored of COD4? I've played it so much, it now bores me to tears. It's just the same few maps over and over..

I still play cod4 about 3 nights a week. Ive been playing it for 24 days now and i'm still finding new tactics for each level. It never gets boring

I might run through it again, although i couldn't do mile high on veteran and just got really frustrated!

I'm quite enjoying the beta - although i am a bit sick of makin. Weapons become much better with the aperture sight (much like red dot in cod 4) i was finding the iron sights got in the way a lot, except with the bren. I've yet to be able to kill anyone with the sniper though.

So they've added stuff and increased the level cap but still haven't sorted out the glitch.

This makes War unplayable on Roundhouse if you are the Wehrmacht as the final flag to capture is in the Train Station, cue half the opposing team using the glitch to get under the floor making it impossible to capture the flag.

Fun times.

Gah. I loved Hardcore TDM in CoD4... but in this it's ridiculous. The dogs are far too powerful. In my first hardcore tdm game, on the castle map, I quickly racked up the kills required to 'unleash the hounds'. I died, but because my dogs were still running rampant, I quickly got another batch of kills enabling me to unleash even more. The game finished in no time at all. In the end I had 32-2 (1 Artillery kill, 21 Dog Kills, 10 rifle kills) and plenty of insults from the opposing team.

Totally bored of this already - I'd give my code back if I could.

The COD4 beta only had three maps and I never had a problem with that, but I had six straight games on Roundhouse yesterday and was going mental by the end of it. Will still pick up the full game for campaign co-op but I don't hold out much hope for the multiplayer.

This hasn't impressed me at all. I got a bit bored with COD4 about a month or two ago and this hasn't got me back into it in any way, infact, its pushed me further away :)

Pre-order cancelled. Roll on GOW2 :(

I have gone back to 4, which plays much better all round despite the maps being so dull now. 5 does an ok imitation of it, but there are so many little problems here and there that the whole thing feels like a poorly balanced fan-made mod.

They'd have done better to make the mp completely their own, rather than trying to make 4 in a WWII skin, and failing.

Now the dust has settled it seems like COD5 's multiplayer isnt a patch on 4.

I had a couple of days with it and really enjoyed it, but it seems from reading on here the chinks in the armor appeared and are quite large. I will be interested to play the hardcore mode which is what I play anyway.

I will be getting this for sure mind.

COD4's multiplayer is just too hi a benchmark in everyway

I play exclusively hardcore (and then usually only TDM) and I'm finding this... okay. I don't think there's anything glaringly wrong with this in hardcore, as it gets you past the weapon-balancing issues. I'm not loving the maps, but I put that down to a lack of familiarity, which is a bit jarring when you're used to knowing every last inch of the map, and all the requisite dos and don'ts. I think maybe the dogs are less of a pain on hardcore too, as I've found it pretty easy to pistol the fuckers when they get too close.

That said, there's certainly nothing outstanding about it. It doesn't do anything terribly wrong, but there's not really that one, single element that can make you love a game either. At the moment, about the only thing I'm really enjoying over CoD 4 is the lovely pop-pop-pop sound of the M1.

It's boring. Where is the fun in playing where most/all spawn points are covered by others, or you make the slightest movement and your dead.

Errr, thats the same as COD4 was when everyone first began playing HTDM en masse. Once the maps were learned and people went in as teams and started talking to each other then the camping basts got their comeuppence.

I'm really taking to this now it has HTDM, makes the weapon balance much less of a hinderance. It makes a change to see people not just pelting off and instead taking their time for fear of getting smooshed. And the maps are actually really well designed for it too imo.
